Tidelands Caribbean Hotel and Suites

The room was moldy and dirty. The fridge didn't work. Hallway had a foul smell to it. The elevator was dirty and very slow. Only stayed one night, took a loss and went to a different hotel. Will never stay here again.

Property needs to be updated. Location is great. Pools are a plus

Loved this hotel…first time here and I can’t say enough about it! We stayed in the suites building: huge room, such a comfortable bed and linens, spa tub, kitchen, close to the pool, etc… The staff was so kind and efficient and the hotel was 1/2 block from the boardwalk and all of the places we love. I’ve stayed at some pretty gross hotels on the boardwalk that had decent reviews…this isn’t one of them! Loved, loved loved this hotel! Thank you Tidelands for an awesome stay!

I originally booked ocean front on expedia but only got a side view. Lock broken on door, but was fixed. Shortage of wash cloths. Eventually got a second one. Others had same problem. Cleaning seemed to consist of spraying a nasty smelling product. No coffee in lobby and attached coffee shop does not open early. On a good note, employees were friendly and new pool/bar area was nice. We will not go back.

The property was sorta disjointed. The pool is not connected to the main building. The pool bar is independent of the hotel. The rooms are dated ! The stove in the room has to be from the 60s a coil top that looks dangerous to use. The windows in the room were filthy. The staff member at the front desk check in was either petrified of being fired or NEW. She needed help. Overall experience was meh! I personally would recommend some where else.

Tile floors are nice to have at the beach. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Location was excellent. I stayed in a room along the road. There was a good view of the beach from the balcony, but there was also a good view of all the balconies across the street. I enjoyed the real wood-board boardwalk. Coffee and NY bagel on the boardwalk downstairs was terrific.

Dirty rooms smells like pets

Location was amazing, staff was friendly and efficient and the room was clean. The condition of the room and other areas of the property were not good. Definitely needs some TLC!

The best thing about the Tidelands is the location. It's close to all of the boardwalk, we wrre in the ocean view room with balcony. So many places to eat, a coffeehouse below or cheaper Dunkin Donuts 2 doors down. The staff is also great. Very friendly and helpful. There are two pools, one with a bar with drinks and a snack. Yes its a bit worn and dated, but that's Ocean City in general. This is our second stay and we plan a third for next year.

My friends and I come to the beach the weekend after Labor Day every year. We’ve been coming for years. The Thailand’s Caribbean Inn has been a staple for us for years. The price and the amenities are equal, and the stay is always clean and comfortable. the rooms are updated This year. I will say there could be some updating to the parking situation, the hot water, and the condition of the stairwells other than that, I will probably still stay at the tidelands every year!
