Holiday Inn Milton Keynes - East M1, Jct. 14 by IHG

A lovely hotel, staff were outstanding in all respects, breakfast was superb too. Will stay here again without hesitation.

This is a lovely hotel in the quiet part of Milton Keynes despite being so close to the motorway. My only slight criticism is that some of the rooms are in need of a refresh of their furniture. The chairs in one room were scruffy and was an actual conference type dining room chair rather than a relaxing comfortable one. The breakfast was brilliant and we had more than enough choice and allergies well catered too.

Windows painted shut, air conditioning not working, no TV signal, mould on shower tray and on ceiling above shower, missing section of en-suite skirting board, slow draining shower (quick showers only or try overflows) large crack in bedroom ceiling, ill fitting carpet and banging doors. Very poor and staff not interested in listening to my compliant, still struggling to get any sense via the online App chat (which I think is AI...)

Stayed here in August last year and I’m pleased to report that nothing has changed in this hotel whatsoever since my last stay. - beds were like concrete - rooms were extremely tired and dated with black mould in the bathrooms and carpets in the room completely detached from the flooring causing a trip hazard. - curtains in the room didn’t even fit the window for the room which was made worse by the massive floodlight outside the window. - AC in the room made a horrible banging noise with water dripping all night long. - the shower in the bathroom sprayed water all over the floor so made the bathroom very dangerous to walk in. - breakfast was absolutely disgusting. The fried eggs had been sat there for at least 2 hours. They were rock hard and like rubber. The bacon again had been sat there for hours, you could have used it as a hockey puck. - reception staff were non existent too, no one was ever on reception and when they were they were rude. No mention of breakfast times, no thank you for your loyalty, no mention around inputting vehicle registration, no mention of free WiFi. Nothing. Avoid this hotel if you can help it. Far nicer ones in Milton Keynes for cheaper.

Lovely friendly staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast had a good variety and food was piping hot. We took our dog and were allowed to sit in the bar - adjacent to the restaurant - to eat breakfast. Road at the front of hotel still dig up so you have to go a long way round to get to hotel. Would recommend.

Really friendly and accommodating staff, comfy bed and good facilities!

Booked room with king size bed it was 2 singles pushed together and like a brick Breakfast was meh. Window was broken so couldn’t close it.
