Holiday Inn Milton Keynes - East M1, Jct. 14 by IHG

Came for an event. Room excellent, staff amazing. Didn't eat as event quite early, restaurant empty all evening. Breakfast very overpriced, should be offered in room rate, at a discount, as a dinner option. Bed huge & comfortable. Shame the hotel was empty, even with an event.

What a fantastic hotel. So friendly and accommodating for all our families needs. Beautiful building and restaurant and rooms were perfect too. All staff we encounted were fantastic. Highly recommend even with the building work going on outside, we had such a wonderful stay

The Staff were very nice and helpful Hotel exterior is a put off, however the interior was clean and well kept Hotel really needs a makeover but aside that we did have a good stay.

We use IHG properties a lot when we need a one or two night stay in the UK if they have a property nearby. We were visiting friends for dinner on a Saturday evening in MK and, at quite short notice, this hotel seemed incredibly reasonably priced - whether paying cash or IHG points. It became clear when we arrived that the motorway junction closure (that feeds the hotel) must have had a big impact. The hotel is becalmed in fields that a being developed into a new suburb of Milton Keynes. However the hotel and the staff are charming. We had a lovely check-in by Ice, the room was very nice (maybe we got an upgrade, it wasn’t busy) and breakfast the next day was the usual nice buffet with good ingredients. In particular there was a loaf that you could slice yourself, top quality, which is not that common anymore. Will happily use this hotel again, especially at the sort of price we paid!

Best breakfast I’ve had in hotel in long time

Staying in as many Ihg properties as I do this has to be one of the worst. Kew Green I suggest an inspection. Firstly the whole point of booking the hotel room for the funeral I have today is our room stated a ‘walk in shower’ apparently neither of your suites have this, only a bath. However the room description states a walk in shower but this is only available in executive rooms So you are advertising a room that doesn’t exist. Secondly checkin was far from a pleasant experience standing around waiting for the one woman on reception to eventually come off the phone, no greeting as a Diamond client. I had to ask for breakfast it wasn’t offered nor was the option of points. Thirdly we asked re the EV charger rates how it worked we were looked at blankly and told ‘ i don’t have a car i have no idea’. I came to the room wasn’t happy so returned to reception to find no one here others waiting to check in eventually after waiting a good 15 mins i went to the bar and was told she would be back soon as was showing someone around. I put my questions in about the room and was offered a lower room than i had paid for, no i want the facilities i had booked. On returning to the room the mini bar was empty. The room states a stocked minibar. The coffee machine had a used coffee pad in it not been cleaned from last person in room. Milk 2 small bottles of which one the seal was open. The whole experience was a shambles. When we came to eat and got out food we even had to find someone to get cutlery Food was presented by the barman who brought no attention to detail no cutlery we had to go and ask and he looked black then said as an afterthought ' Oh yes I should have given you it'. The food was ediable just. But note as nothing else around the hotel as you are in the middle of a building site, the choice is limited. The bathroom was dirty and dusty and I shall be taking this further with Kewgreen, IHG, Tripadvisor, trust pilot and local Tourist Board. The radiator noise was awful not rested at all. Considering we had a funeral the next day I was not rested the whole experience was a massive let down. When I approached reception to speak with the manager I was told they were on a teams meeting, and he was the duty manager, in times like this I want to speak to the Manager. After travelling all day to get here the whole experience was bloody awful. And I will never stay here again. On leaving the hotel at 1pm I was asked how many points had I used to get the room and they would be refunded to my account, im guessing the manager was still on a Teams Meeting or hiding away not wishing to confront me. As a hotel Auditor and Inspector of many hotels in Uk Eire And Europe, I have to stay this is one of the worst I have ever stayed in, I realise the building site you have around you probably doesn't help, but lack of staff, not an updated website, selling rooms that do not have the walk in shower and think nothing of it. I could go on but I wont cos I will be here all day. Avoid until all the building works have finished and if you do need to charge your car be warned it is costly, at home I have 9p here it is 85p per hour. And make sure you know how to use it as staff at the hotel haven't got a clue but have the service in their car park.

I recently stayed at and ut was a mixed bag of experiences. The location was fantastic, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and had all the facilities need doe an overnight stay. However, the food was a major letdown. Despite being a hotel of good standard, the quality of the food served was absolutely inedible ( I wouldn’t feed it to an animal) How a hotel with such great facilities can serve this rubbish is beyond belief. It truly boggles my mind that a place with so much potential could fall so short in this area. The meals were poorly cooked, tasteless, and far from what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. This issue with the food greatly marred what could have been a perfect stay. If the hotel could address their culinary shortcomings, it would be an exceptional place to stay. Until then, I would caution anyone considering dining here.

Used hotel as the half way to airport, hotel was clean and staff friendly. Only downside is that the mattresses could do with being changed

This property says 24 * 7 front desk. I reached this property 1am and there wasn't there. My booking date and check in date was having 2 months difference. I called this property when I booked it and they said there will be someone and at time of actual check in there was no one. Expedia came to my rescue where I was relocated to another property within an 1 hour and I loved my stay.

The room which was 54 very nice but the air con unit even when switched off had water running behind it all through the night. Complained two nights, so no attempt to sort it and couldn’t move me, complained on checkout no reaction not even a sorry So decent hotel but not ROOM 54
