Size of room and quality of bed and pillows do not befit five-star standard. The service standard of the staff at Concierge desk is terrible, especially of this particular staff named Cindy. Her rude and dishonest attitude reflects badly on this five-star hotel.
The hotel location is the best, have food and shopping mall around. However, the condition of the hotel is very old.
The hotel looks nice and is closer to the downtown; however, the staffs do not want to help people. They tell you a lot of services but they don't tell you that those are charged.
This hotel is overwrought and undermanned. The decor is over the top gold and marble everywhere. Ceilings are low. Rooms are serviceable but cramped. The staff must be hired from the penal system bureaucracy. Not worthy of the Kempinsky name.
This is my third stay at the hotel and as always, it’s a winner. Great location, staff is awesome and amenities are amazing. Wouldn’t consider to stay elsewhere when in Shenzhen. If you want to be spoiled than the Kempinski Hotel is your destination
The hotel offers the full customer experience. Check-in was a breeze, personal attention at every step of the stay and food was excellent. It is clear to me that customer service is at forefront of everything that they do. Highly recommend.
Very nice lobby and overall. The room was very confortable but could need a deeper clean to be perfect. Location is very good very close to shops and places to eat and chill in the evening. Very nice view from the room all the way to the waterfront.
Location is fantastic, amenities are top natch and staff very friendly. This was my second stay at the hotel and planning another in March.
The rooms and surrounding are nearby shopping Mall and 5 minutes walk to the underground Train station. vey central .
Hotel is centrally located by shopping and transportation. However, the experience in the hotel is nothing more than average. Staff doesn't speak english at all with the exception of a few basic words. Not nearly enough to have a meaningful conversation. I know it is a 5 star hotel but certainly don't expect a 5 star service as you would have in the US, the standard is much lower. Rooms suppose to be non smoking but the several rooms that I was changed into all had strong smell of smoke in them. There was also some room cleaning issues while I was at the hotel. I brought it to the attention of management and to my surprise nothing was done and apparently wasn't taken very seriously. Now, I am sure someone from the hotel who speaks great english is going to reply to this review since it is the right thing to do, but in my opinion it is a smoke screen and meaningless since I requested assistance from management while I stayed at the hotel and they didn't follow through and it was like pulling teeth, so words mean nothing without actual and measurable assistance. If you find other hotels nearby, I would definitely consider them. But if an average experience is enough than this place will be ok. One plus is the breakfast buffet while VERY expensive, it is very good.
