I had a very nice stay at the Courtland. The property is a 100+ year old hotel that has been thoughtfully renovated to retain many of the original features. The couple who own the property are excellent hosts and ready to help with anything you need. The town itself is also full of charm.

We were met with a smile by Frank, owner of the hotel. While we were eating our breakfast, he joined us and gave a lot of history of the Fort Scott area. Very enjoyable.

" Great place but wasn’t for us! "

This was an older building with great character, the couple that owned and managed it were extremely friendly, respectful, helpful, great really, but the room was the tiniest we ever stayed in! If we had been overweight we would not have fit in the bathroom! We had to watch tv on a 19 inch screen, not exactly what we’re looking for!
