Raintree's Sandcastle, Birch Bay

We stayed with our 2 kids, ages 9 and 17 and we all loved it.

We stayed in a penthouse suite and it was great! Lots of space, amazing view of the bay, very comfortable. We were able to play cards outside in our little porch while watching whales spout and even had an eagle fly over! Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay and we felt pampered. Definitely putting this on our "going there again" list!

My first impression was Sunnie at the reception desk was so friendly! It turns out all the staff were very friendly and more than happy to help with any questions we had. We reserved a two bedroom unit .We found that the King bed was very comfortable. I read from other reviews that the furniture and decor were a little dated but we didn’t mind at all. The unit was very spacious and clean. Very homey The first night we had dinner in our unit and the kitchen was well equipped .We then enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. Then it was back to the rooftop patio to enjoy a fantastic sunset Restaurants are an easy stroll away. Good food at a reasonable price. we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it We were fortunate and had a sunny and warm weekend so we enjoyed our small deck for morning coffee. In the afternoon I took my glass of wine up to the rooftop patio and enjoyed the amazing views of the ocean and basked in the sun. There was even a whale spouting off in the distancet

Love how big the rooms are. When asking for extra items the staff gladly helped. Would definitely go back again!

We were on a house-hunting trip in the Blaine/ Bellingham area and the Sandcastle met all our needs.

Great value for the price

We always enjoy this hotel. We love that it's across the street from the ocean beautiful views beautiful walks! Lovely pool and hot tub! Lovely rooms!
