Vagabond Lodge at Kicking Horse Resort

Hosts were great people & were very helpful in planning activities in the area. We would love to go back there in the future.

We enjoyed the Vagabond's casual comfort and charm. On a warm day, the veranda is a nice place to relax with a coffee and listen to the birds nesting in the trees. The indoor common spaces are perfectly suited for reading and conversation. All bedrooms are upstairs, decorated in warm tones and natural woods. Our room had a large window seat, allowing us to stretch out for a rest in the afternoon sun. The hosts are extremely friendly, always taking time to chat and offer ideas for enjoying the nearby trails and activities.

We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and yet not spend all our time traveling. The Vagabond Lodge was a perfect fit. The lodge itself is beautiful, nestled in the side of the mountain and well kept up. Lori and Ken are wonderful hosts and the breakfasts and service were excellent. We enjoyed the peace and beauty the area had to offer and look forward to our next stay at the Vagabond Lodge and discovering more about area.

Fantastic location! I had no idea how close Vagabond was to the ski hill. Lori and Ken were upbeat and friendly and I was impressed with how considerate they were of my dietary restrictions. This place was much better than I was expecting it to be in all respects and I definitely plan to visit again.

Simply lovely property with exceptional hosts. We loved the scrumptious home cooked breakfast and hot tub.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Haus, die etwas lange Anfahrt von Golden lohnt sich. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Frühstück mit selbstgebackenem Brot und allem, was das Herz begehrt. Die Eigentümer sind herzlich und hilfsbereit. Einziger Haken: Ab 1. September ist in diesem Resort alles geschlossen, ein längerer Aufenthalt im Herbst ist daher nicht empfehlenswert, wohl aber als Zwischenstop. Erste Adresse für Wintersportler.

Het is een prachtige lodge met een heerlijk ontbijt. Eigenaresse zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

We had a great time at a very welcoming B&B. the owners were so hospitable and we felt right at home. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated. Surrounding facitlities and activities were easily accessible ( with in walking distance). The golf course (Golden Country Club) was an easy drive. The best part was the fantastic breakfast!! Scones and cinnamon buns to die for!!
