"Good value, but could be better."

6.0

The hotel is dated and needs some redecoration and replacemet furnishings. Having said that. There was a good choice of food for both , dinner and breakfast and the dinner was looked after well with empty trays being replaced regulary. The beds were comfortable and towels were reasonable quality. There was only one chair by the table in the room and this was a dinning chair so not comfortable!! No lighting over the dressing table, so no good for make up/hair etc. Bath's have showers above, and some rooms have a shower cubicle as well. Toiletries concist of a dispencer on the wall, (ours was empty), nothing else was provided. There was no where to put anything by the basin, even tooth brushes and glasses had to be stored on the edge of the bath. A simple glass shelf over the basin would have surficed. Tea and coffee were provided on a tray but no other drinks or biscuits. Rooms vary in size. The double we had first time was larger than the family room allocated this time! The pool complex need attention. The spa is still not working, and empty. The sauna was working this time. There is a reasonably sized pool, but changing facilities are basic. The pool and sauna were in working order and not crowded, but in there current condition, i dont feel they warrent an additional fee to use them. Gardens were attractive and its only a short walk to the beach, (although steep)! Parking at the hotel costs £5 per day, but you can leave the car there for free on the day you leave.

Didn’t feel welcome at checking in the hotel, 1st impressions of the hotel were not good, the room condition was disgusting, it felt that the room wasn’t cleaned, very uncomfortable bed, could hear the conversation next door, very noisy, unsafe windows and cables, and as for parking what a joke, I had to park my car outside the hotel, infact it has to be one of the worst hotels I have stayed in

Stained bed sheets, something brown on the wall near toilet roll holder and we were woken by a maintenance man doing work outside our room at 8.30am, just a few of the many problems. Very disappointed as it was a birthday treat for my young daughter.

There was springs through the mattress booked there because it had a pool. The pool had no heating so did not go swimming because of this also there was a £4 charge. Been before and sure there was no charge. Despite this it is in a great location
