Very dirty hotel. Humid rooms which were unbearable to sleep in. Shower was not consistent and went hot and cold and so on. Room not cleaned daily. Escort business cards on the floor by front door. Had to leave a day early, couldn’t stay another night. Staff were brilliant but hotel is a shambles and need a rethink. Go elsewhere and so should the front of house staff. They are wasted there.

Was a bad choice to stay here in this exceptionally poor run down Hotel, should have read the reviews first and the neighbouring Hotels boarded up. We stayed in room 325, we have a regular but serious water leak from the ceiling above. it was never dealt with as they knew that when the above occupants took a shower this happens. We had about 20 extra towels to deal with the constant flood. The bathroom door handle came off. The rooms had undergone a Covid-19 deep clean, not a chance, looked under bed and so much dirt and dust - hadn't been cleaned for a long time. No housekeeping whatsoever, so bed was not made, cleaning or bins emptied etc. The shower rose was broken and damaged, so unable to take a shower - even if we had to take the ferry to get there. Didn't realise how poor Bournemouth had become. the police were called to our Hotel due to a fight in the lobby. Would not even rate it one star. A very sad experience not only for us but all 9 rooms in our group that stayed, such a talking point and the arguments heard from drunks coming home off the beach up to 3.30 was non stop. Add to this the police helicopters and sirens non stop - couldn't wait to get home Bad moment of judgement to stay here -this was not just a bad one off, surprised there are no standards they have to conform too as a hostel would be superior. if i had more time would ask for our money back as was just a dreadful experience !!!! Feel sorry for the staff who have to work here Simon

I have booked 1 night stay at Britannia Hotel for my familly a week before planned visit to Bournemouth. When we finally reached the destination we were told that the hotel is still closed (because of covid). I was shocked as i just drove for over 3hrs to find out that I have nowhere to stay with my wife and our 2yo son. Receptionist said that we supposed to receive email - but we didnt. Double checked, and told her that I have not received anything. Receptionist then offered to check database as they've got a few sister hotels. Felt reliesed when she confirmed that our reservation been moved to Royal Bath Hotel -at least we had place to stay overnight. No aircon, windows blocked, so unable to open but this hotel was ok, except for the bathroom -brown water (I believe its down to not having guest for a while due to covid-rusty pipes?) and not working shower. It was a struggle for us when we had our little one sleeping in his pram, as the lift has not had an acces to every floor. There was no car park for guests huge let down for me, as we had guaranteed car park at original hotel for £5 per day. Had to park at Hinton road car park for £14 for 24hrs. Car park between the hotel and minigolf was much more expensive. It would be nice to be informed next time, at least we would have a choice/chance to cancell our reservation. Thanks hotels.com

Turned up to find it closed. No sign of work going on either. Looks shabby from outside. I'll be avoiding all Britannia hotels from now on.

"Terrible - avoid. "

It was a reasonable price - sadly it was not clean, service poor, very tired and pool was closed despite us specifically wanting a pool.
