Britannia Bournemouth Hotel

This hotel is outdated and the room (double bed) was horrible. Stains on the carpet, the view from the window shows dirty ventilation systems. No telephone to reception. The pictures online are far beyond what you get. Never again 😡😡😡

Avoid at all costs!!! Unless you like the smell of weed throughout the whole hotel. Or you enjoy being woken up by a gang of bikers messing around with their bikes at 6.45am right outside your window (they stopped at 9.30!). Or maybe you enjoy a good friday night fight followed by a friday night...young lady praying to god...oh god at 3am (same couple so I assume they made up). Or if you like a grubby, dated room with the tiniest 'double bed' which was extremely uncomfortable (hard and noisy). There were no phones in the room so you couldn't phone down and complain about anything! On check out no one asked 'how was your stay?' And all the guests leaving were saying how dire it was. Also do stay if you enjoy listening to very drunken 'mature' ladies screaming about what medication they take and how annoying it is to have to move onto universal credits at 1.30am. Dont worry if you think you have missed her and her friends they are regulars and stay all the time in the off season. Although she did fall down some steps so maybe give her a few weeks. . . She was laughing as she fell but I have a feeling she's going to be in pain when she wakes up. If you like mold, 60's decor, this is the place for you but only if you are under 5'6" and a size 12 or less because any bigger and the bathroom is unusable. Even a small child couldnt bend over in the shower so dont drop anything. We got about 6 hours sleep in total over this weekend. It was a horrible hotel with ok staff.

Lovely stay but breakfast not great quality

Was a cheap weekend away so wasn’t expecting much. Rooms could do with decorating and bedding needs replacing. Not very clean

The place was pretty basic. Bathroom wasnt very clean. But ok if you just want a place to get your head down. Pool was empty so you couldnt use that which i think they should tell you that on there website. Overall i would say you get what you pay for.

The room (321) was exceptionally small and the steel single glazed widows did not block out any noise. The TV was on a unit below bed height and was not only difficult to see it also had a very poor signal making it virtually unwatchable. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever witnessed too. Overall very disappointing and despite staying in Bournemouth regularly, I won't be booking again

Shower experience was great but have to book dinner in advance TV was faulty don't like the way maintenance went on about it they couldn't do anything about it

The room was dirty and had the previous occupants underwear, bra and leggings! The bed was incredibly small when a double room was booked! when the front desk was notified the gentlemen didn’t really seem to care, told us that there were no rooms left, then after more complaining we were finally moved to another room! Won’t be staying there ever again and will Not recommend to anyone! It’s not being cleaned properly so likely to be a covid breading ground

Crap

The staff were amazing, so kind and helpful. One receptionist even leant me her own personal umbrella to go to the shops. The rooms were basic, but we paid £150 for 4 nights so was a bargain. Only critersim was the bed, it was very uncomfortable. Had to keep turning over otherwise you'd get pins and needles.
