Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix Midtown by IHG

the selections in the vending machines were awesome, there was no signs for no bikes being allowed in the rooms, they didn't stop me but they stopped my fiance, if it's policy that should be posted somewhere.

This hotel was dirty, gum on carpets, hair dryer was broken, no night watchmen, crackheads everywhere around the property, someone had their dog in the next room, the floor smelled like cigarettes, and parking didn’t feel safe. The best part of the hotel was the pool and the fact they had good vending machines. I probably wouldn’t stay their again it didn’t feel safe and the rooms were pretty nasty.

My stay was great! Only complaint I have is the heavy fumes coming from the bathroom in my room due to the bathtub being redone.

When we checked in there were 2 prostitutes in the lobby. This is not a place that we would ever return to.

When we checked in the staff was very nice. There was a strange odor on the way to the elevator. When we got to the room we heard a smoke alarm beeping. We reported it to maintenance and the front desk. We went to dinner and it was fixed when we got back. When we went to the elevator this time it smelled very strongly of a toxic rubber cement type smell. It was so bad we hurried to our room and turned up the air conditioning to filter it out. We then settled in for the evening and much to our dismay the adjoining room had a little dog that kept barking. Every time it barked the owner yelled at it. It wasn't the most pleasant stay of our two week road trip.

Good location

It was okay when checking in, got charge $30 extra to check in early, got to our floor the whole hallway smell like cigarettes smoke 🚬 got a non smoking 🚭 room but can still smell slept with mask whole night just to not smell smoke, the bathroom floor not so clean

Probably needs to be upgraded

This property was run down and filthy...I will be back in this same area next month...I was going to stay here again. BUT AFTER almost tripping on the old rolled up carpet and the filth room im good ..I will find a cleaner more updated place to stay.

Rooms were outdated and had stains/smudges on the wall, paint chipping, bathtub had yellow stains , cigarette burns in the sheets, and the surrounding area was not
