"Lay over stay on our way to Australia."

8.0

NIce resort. It is a bit remote, but we had a pleasant stay despite being caught in a cyclone. The whole Island was affected and we had to stay at the resort for the three days. Food options were a bit expensive and they have a captive clientele. Water is an extra charge and the buffets were a bit overpriced. No beach but we would have taken the snorkeling excursions anyways. Nice pool area. The gym was relatively quiet. We planned our stay as a layover on our way to Australia and would do it again. Fiji is well located for a lay over from North America. Fiji Air was not bad.

"Dated & Tired"

6.0

We were led to believe there was a beach on the island , but mangroves were on one side and it seems rocks replaced the area which probably was a beach once. The entire resort looked tired. No separate cocktail bar, except the pool bar: one main restaurant and a smaller outdoor restaurant. Accommodation was average, no streaming on television - just local stations. This resort needs another pool and huge makeover. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

"Secluded oasis of peace"

10.0

The resort is located a 15-20 minutes drive away from Nadi city on a narrow peninsula which gives it a very secluded, tranquil feel. Loved staying in an oceanfront bure house, they are very large and the terrace views are gorgeous. The welcome chocolate chip cookie was a great touch and the food was really good throughout, especially the seafood buffet on Sunday. There are several shops on site so guests have no need to leave the resort for groceries and similar. The gym is available to guests 24 hours. All the staff excels in the renowned Fijian hospitality but Elenoa at the reception was especially amazing, always kind and attentive.

"Wonderful 10-10 Night Stay – The Staff Made Our Trip So Special"

10.0

We recently stayed at the DoubleTree for 10 nights and had such an amazing experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. The staff throughout the entire resort were incredibly kind, friendly, and always went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. It really made our stay feel special. We especially want to give a big shoutout to Lowata, Kesha, Niko, Merewairita, and Aporosa. Every time we saw them they greeted us with a smile and made the effort to chat with us and make sure everything was going well. They truly went above and beyond and their service made such a positive impact on our stay. The food during our stay was fantastic. Out of all the buffet nights, The Butcher Night was definitely our favourite. The food was delicious and there was such a great variety. That being said, everything we ate throughout our stay was consistently great and we really enjoyed all of our meals. Breakfast each morning had quite similar options day to day, but we were still very happy with what was available. There was plenty to choose from and everything was fresh and tasty. One thing we loved was that they cook fresh eggs to order exactly how you like them, which was such a great touch and something we looked forward to each morning. One of the highlights of our trip was the private sunset dinner we booked. It was such a beautiful and memorable experience. The setting was incredible and the food was absolutely amazing and delicious. A big shoutout to the chefs at Tavu Bar & Grill for such a fantastic meal. We also want to mention our amazing waitress Kesha, who looked after us so well that evening and made the whole experience even more special. The pool area was absolutely amazing, and having the pool bar right there was such a fun bonus. It was the perfect place to relax, swim, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings during the day. We also had the chance to visit the spa during our stay, and it was such a great experience. The spa was beautiful, peaceful, and the treatments were incredibly relaxing. The staff were so professional and made us feel completely comfortable from the moment we arrived. We were also pleasantly surprised by how well priced the treatments were, especially for a resort spa. After our first visit we felt so relaxed that we actually went back for a second treatment before we left, which says a lot! It was the perfect way to unwind during our holiday and we would definitely recommend it to anyone staying at the resort. Our room was always cleaned beautifully. We chose to have housekeeping every two days, which worked perfectly for us, and each time we came back the room was spotless and refreshed. The housekeeping team did such an amazing job and we really appreciated the care they put into it. The resort is about 30–45 minutes from Denarau/Nadi town, but for us it really wasn’t an issue at all. Taxis were easy to organise whenever we wanted to head out to do activities or explore a little. There are also plenty of things to do around the resort itself. We found the Rosie Holidays tour desk super helpful as well – they made it really easy to book activities and organise transfers, which made planning things during our stay so convenient. We visited during the wet season, so we did experience a few rainy days, but honestly it didn’t take away from our trip at all. We still had such an incredible time and there was always something to do around the resort. Overall, we had such a wonderful stay and we are so grateful to the entire team at DoubleTree for making our holiday so memorable. The staff, the food, the atmosphere, and the beautiful location all made it such a special experience for us. We truly loved every moment of our stay and would 100% recommend staying here. 10/10! We would absolutely come back again in the future.

"Amazing Staff! Memorable Vacation!"

8.0

We enjoyed our stay at DoubleTree Resort By Hilton Hotel Fiji - Sonaisali Island. The staff is friendly, warm and kind. The room was clean and spacious; however, we did experience problems with the air conditioner and telephone. The breakfast buffet was good; and the made-to-order omelet was fresh and delicious. Niko and Sala were our servers each day and were very responsive and pleasant. Kesha was friendly and answered all our questions with a smile. We had a relaxing spa treatment which included a 15 min foot massage. One afternoon, we order pina coladas, fish and chips and enjoyed the ocean view. Pool was nice and not crowded during our visit. Daily activities were offered and we watched the fan making demonstration. The highlight of my stay was horseback riding. The guide, Dash, was attentive and made sure I was safe. Unfortunately, there was a lot of debris along the ocean, but Dash took perfect pictures of the experience. He even made me a bamboo straw for a coconut. Niko and Dash went above and beyond to make sure we had a unique and memorable vacation. They both deserve “Employee of the Month” awards!

"Disappointed and unhappy traveler"

2.0

This place is remotely located on a rock jetty with no beaches. Our tour company sold us on this extension with false advertising. There were no pristine Pacific beaches, just rocks and brown nasty water. Upon reviewing the location you can see the Nadi river empties into the ocean and its fouls smelling water flows right in front of the place. Very disgusting. The resort is isolated from anything. Nadi is like a poor third world country. Food service was poor. While the restaurant had a menu, you could not buy anything from it. They want you to buy their expensive buffet each night. One of our group had to leave his big infested luggage outside upon arriving home. The ferry across to the 1 star resort is scary looking. It was an aluminum boat with a cover and a person operating an outboard motor with a hand tiller. The boat was leaking and the bilge pump was running. I had to move forward to avoid my shoes getting wet. I am trying right now to contact my tour company, EF tours, to lodge my complaints with them for dumping us in the remote undesirable place. My recommendation is another place in Fiji or avoid Fiji entirely. It is a very poor third world place.
