DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Fiji - Sonaisali Island

Very welcoming and relaxed. Wonderful staff. Racy Grill good. Other food could be improved.

Beautiful view from the room, staff were super.

A family of 4 with kids 11 and 8, loved the stay at Doubletree. We stayed there for four days at a beach front bure with two king beds. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the people working there were all friendly and courteous. It is a secluded island and the boat ride to the resort is about less than 3 minutes, so it is very safe and there are no strayed cats/dogs. The pool was perfect for my kids to play and there were enough activities for the families to enjoy. We watched a coconut husking demo and kids rode horses for less than an hour which was only $20 Fijian dollars per kid. The breakfast was amazing as there were a great selection of food including made to order omelettes, variety of breads, fresh fruits, vegetables and meats, espresso coffee maker, and variety of cheese and yogurts. We tried the seafood fiesta buffet and everything was very tasty! We would definitely stay here again when we visit Fiji again.

The staff are amazing and welcoming if it was for them I am not sure I would have enjoyed my stay. The pool is nice and the spa team is amazing. But unfortunately the resort is far away from alot of the tourist attraction and the resort decor is outdated. The bed is comfortable.

Day 1. Arrived and was greeted by a lady who was fine. Not enthusiastic but helpful. Took the boat across and Simon was very warm. No assistance to unload luggage off the boat. Find your own way to reception. Too late to book into a la carte so $89Fdj “butcher night” Carrot soup-tasty but tepid. Little salad offerings, very dry garlic mash or not fully cooked roast potatoes. Dry roast meat, chewy kebabs, a bread roll (they ran out) tepid food and dry cake desserts. The worst thing was watching the staff get water from the garden tap in a bowl and then put the cutlery in that bowl , swish and then dry it off and put back on the dessert table or on table setting. Geeez I hope you have strong stomachs and no germs!! Never eating in the outdoor buffet area again.

I was sorely disappointed by the amenities when I arrived at the Hilton. The facilities were very outdated and often time broken, the whole place felty like faulty towers. The gym was dirty, had broken treadmills which is dangerous first and unusable. There was one yoga mat that was falling apart with holes. I had booked the hotel with the view to use the gym in the morning. The food from the buffet and room service was always served cold and over priced. The double tree is a far cry from the global standard of the Hilton

We stayed here for 8 nights and we loved it. From the moment we booked it we were well looked after by the staff. We had emailed with constant questions and Imeri always got back to us in a timely matter. We had asked for a curtain between the two beds and they accommodated. When we got there we were welcome to the boat ramp with a big Bula even at 21:30. The boat trip was like 1 minute across and we checked in. We actually were offered a better room which we jumped at. They took our bags and we got carted to the room bags and all. It was a beautiful and clean room. We had a beachfront bure and the view was amazing. The breakfast buffet was very nice and had a good selection of foods. The theme nights were also good value as well. We also ate at the other restaurant on site. Sai and Samantha from the breakfast shift were also very very friendly and looked after us along with Anasi and the rest of the staff (sorry there were too many to remember). There is a shop (Jacks of Fiji) and a cafe onsite as well. The shop sold various food items and gifts. The boat to get across the mainland runs constantly as well which is handy if your out in the mainland for dinner and come back late. Overall great hotel such friendly and caring staff and would stay there again Vinaka vakalevu to all at this hotel.

The hotel is excellent and the staff were beyond incredible!!! Everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel special and comfortable!
