DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Fiji - Sonaisali Island

This hotel is lovely , idyllic surroundings, great options for excursions, the food is varied and will suit most taste buds including all the cocktail options available as well . I have to say a big shout out for Etka she ran the a Tie dye workshop, she was patient , knowledgable and very bubbly , lovely to be around and the cost for the workshop which included the T shirt and the paints and was very reasonable , in fact for Great British Pound against the Fuji it was excellent value … in fact the whole experience has been , we had a spa package which was £500 Fuji dollars which was £165 GB… this was for 3 hours of pure indulgence .. the whole experience has been something I will never forget . The staff were so helpful, polite and friendly , a Bula or good morning every time we went past them .. thank you Double Tree , the location, the colleagues , the cocktails, amenities and the ease of booking excursions … Thank you … 😊

We loved our stay at Double Tree Resort. We stayed for 10 days and the resort offered everything we were looking for, which was a relaxing time. The Bure's were roomy and comfortable. We had the most amazing sunsets. We were able to book several tours via the resort. The breakfast buffets had lots of options and were several options for dining with a different buffet theme each night. The staff were all very helpful and we got to know some of the staff quite well. We highly recommend Double Tree Resort.

The main lobby, bars, and pool areas were excellent. Our room could have been a bit cleaner and the air conditioning unit was dripping condensation onto the floor and it may be harboring mosquitos because I got several bites while in the room and not anywhere else on the property. Killed some of the mosquitos in the room.

First room there was a roach bigger than a quarter in the bathroom as soon as we arrived. They moved us into another room, at 5am we were getting up to watch the sunrise and a rat, not a mouse, a rat ran up the wall to the cubby above the entrance door of the room. It took the people longer than 30 minutes to come, the entire time waiting I was contacting corporate to let them know me. All they did was send a man and all he did was show us the hole the rat came in. Staff had openly admitted they have rats when we asked them if they knew.

We had a great time at DT with no complaints. Staff are amazing and I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

As a loyal Hilton Honors member, I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties around the world, but my recent 3-night stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji has been by far the most disappointing. Breakfast Experience: Every morning was frustrating. One coffee machine was consistently broken, and the other worked only intermittently. It once took 20 minutes and repeated requests to three different staff members just to get cutlery at our table. No Real Beach: Despite the island setting, there is no proper beach suitable for swimming—only a cold pool available, which was underwhelming given the location. Inconvenient Location: The hotel is on an island accessible only by boat. While this offers some privacy, it significantly limits convenience, especially for families or those with mobility concerns. Lack of Basic Service: Room service was non-existent. We requested cutlery to be delivered to our room (Ocean Bure, located quite far from the main facilities), but no one ever came. Eventually, I had to walk all the way to the restaurant to collect it myself. Laundry Issues: Clothes sent for laundry were returned in nearly the same condition—still visibly dirty. Completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one in the Hilton group. Poor Check-Out Experience: We were told a late check-out was available, and this was even confirmed in writing. However, starting from 11 AM, we were repeatedly called and pressured to leave. When I mentioned my membership and the agreed late check-out, the staff member on the phone seemed unaware of what Hilton Honors even was and insisted we come to the front desk immediately or face additional charges. This experience lacked the professionalism, service quality, and hospitality I’ve come to expect from Hilton properties. I left genuinely disappointed and won’t be returning to this property.

Great hotel, tucked away from the busy areas in Nadi. We loved our stay here. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to offer excellent service.
