Latchis Hotel

Convenient to the Latchis Theatre, however the downtown area around the hotel has many vacant storefronts, so not really many things to do close by. We didnt feel safe going out after dark. Perhaps those are just first impressions of an out of towner, who with time could have grown to find it quaint. The staff was friendly at both the hotel and the restaurant we found a couple of blocks away.

We just love this hotel. It's so unique! While there are lots of interesting old things -- fixtures, furnishings, etc. -- it is always clean & it's easy to get any extras you need. What we LOVE is that you can walk out the door to lots of different restaurants and shops -- everything is walkable! There's almost always an event or a new mural or music - something interesting to see or do.

The staff were very friendly. The property is old and historic. My room was not what I expected. The carpet was stained and the door lock from the inside did not work and the vintage plumbing fixtures leaked. Very limited dining options in the area.

The property was located in a great area with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The lady at the counter, VIKKI, was great. Too bad she had to leave during our stay.The hotel is deemed historic… However, there are a lack of basic amenities in room 317 anyway. No outlets in the bathroom no air-conditioning in the room as it’s controlled by a central thermostat martialed by the GM. It was hot and stuffy, and I was told to open the windows which had no screens, so insects and birds could fly in. Also, the restaurant that is located in the complex was closed due to not enough employees able to work. This put a damper on late night cocktails.

Walking distance to the Stone Church where I saw Black Uhuru. Good eclectic shops and alot of cool bookstores nearby. Parking at Hotel. Also a movie theater and want to do their movie special soon.

Great location in downtown Brattleboro, close to shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful.

It was an enjoyable get away, especially seeing a movie in the old theater. Also, being able to listen to Edward Howard on the record player in the room was a very unique experience and it created a “back in time” atmosphere ! However, fresh coffee, and some muffins or bagels in the morning would be a great addition to this funky little hotel 😃

Very cute vintage stay, prompt communicative staff. Walkable to a very cute bookstore, coffee, breakfast spots and a vegan restaurant (vegan AF) that was 10/10. Beautiful view and accessible parking.

The hotel is downtown which is great. The facilities are good. The folks at the front desk are very nice. If you are used to chain hotel room conditions, this will not have all the climate control and bathroom elements, but is completely fine for most travelers.

Great unique old-school vibe, very central, and nice people. Enjoyed the turntable and old vinyl records in the bedroom!
