Latchis Hotel

It was nice and once we got in the hotel, we could walk from one place to another. The area was clean but there were many empty stores and restaurants around. It is still a quaint place to visit for a night.

I'd say 9/10! Room was good, staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking was a little confusing and stressful but ended up working out fine. Enjoyed our stay! Great location to explore brattleboro’s downtown. The historic quality of the building has great charm and is well maintained for its age.

The hotel is old and a little funky, but spotlessly clean and tended. The furniture may be a little old and worn, but it’s comfortable and fully functional. The staff were friendly and helpful from start to finish. The best thing about the place is its location: right in the middle of the town, near a number of restaurants. And a movie theater on premises! We happened to visit on a day when Brattleboro was holding Gallery Walk. A block from the hotel was a whole festival with food stands, entertainment stages, arts and crafts booths. It was just a great place to stay. And it’s dog-friendly!

Michaela & Amy at the reception desk were great, friendly and helpful. We loved the ice lemon water right there when we arrived. The bed was incredibly comfortable and found out it's a brand new mattress. We also loved the turntable in the room with an lp of Brahms. Latchis is a really comfortable place to stay.

While I understand that this is a historical hotel the first floor of room is absolutely terrible. There is a lot of water damage on both the bathroom ceiling and by the window. I would like to complain about- we reserved a mountain view room which was obscured by both the downtown scene and the truly disgustingly dirty windows. I am sure there are lovely rooms in this hotel but if they give you keys to any rooms on the first floor ask for a new room.

The staff who checked us in was great! And the room was okay, the carpet needed swept. The outside area, meaning the people, drug addicts and homeless people were not what we were expecting to see. We thought we were in New Ken, Philly. There was a female bent over due to being so high on whatever she injected. We left and drove home, we didn't want our vehicle destroyed with all our things in it. It's a shame that a historical town and hotel are overshadowed by what we had seen.

Lovely réception but the hôtel is dated. 8.5/10

The location was amazing & the staff was super helpful. The room & decor were fun too.
