Staverton Park Hotel & Golf Club

We booked a standard double room with dinner and breakfast and i was full of trepidation after reading some reviews. Honestly, there was nothing to worry about. The room was spacious, spotless and the bed was really comfortable. Dinner was buffet style but with plenty of options and all nicely cooked. The additional salad bar was well stocked. Breakfast was standard fare, but well stocked and serving stations were very clean indeed. Staff even gave us complimentary drinks to mark our anniversary. All in all an excellent stay and I'd definitely recommend it to others.

The bed was very comfortable but on waking I found someone else's blood all over the bedding in various places I don't generally look to see if it's OK but with the light of day I was horrified I did report this to reception and still waiting for a call

A comfortable stay , attentative staff , good facilities , would happily stay here again.

The breakfast was excellent but personally I like to have a banana with my breakfast. There was plenty of parking but if we went out in the evening we lost our place close to the entrance. On Monday night we got very wet getting from the car to the hotel. My husband walks slowly with a stick so it was difficult for us. The staff were all very helpful.

No individual bedside light for reading in bed. The main ceiling lights had to be on.

Our room and facilities were lovely, very clean, comfortable and well maintained. We also had a lovely outdoor area which was a nice place to relax. The swimming pool was an unexpected bonus and was thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. The breakfast was excellent, with a good selection and very tasty food each morning. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit.

The breakfast was absolutely lovely and very tasty, with a good selection and plenty of choice. Unfortunately, we found the evening buffet less impressive. The options during our stay were Piri Piri chicken legs, chickpea and spinach curry, white fish with potatoes, or beef Bourguignon. As it was a particularly hot week, I chose the fish while my 12-year-old daughter opted for the beef Bourguignon. Sadly, the fish was quite dry and there was no accompanying sauce to add moisture or flavour. My daughter initially enjoyed the beef Bourguignon, but as she got further into the meal, she found the sauce became rather overpowering and not particularly to her taste. We also found the salad bar quite limited, with very few options available. We were unsure whether there was a dessert station available, as we couldn't see one. However, the concierge was very helpful and did offer to show us how the buffet worked, which was appreciated. Overall, while breakfast was excellent and the service was friendly, the evening meals did not quite match the same standard.
