Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort

Had a very relaxing 2 night stay here. Our check in was very smooth. We had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. As my husband is a Platinum member with Accor, we got the Suite upgrade for one of the room. The Suite was really spacious, had a foyer, the bedroom area, living room and a separate balcony sit out area. It had big glass walls in the living room, so much natural light and greenery coming in. There was welcome hamper too. Loved the size of the room. Right after checking in we used the pool and enjoyed the cocktails. Sam, The bartender at the Pool Bar made some really interesting cocktails, and was very jolly despite being super busy and was very fluent in English. We had a great time by the pool, the pool size is huge and they have inflatable Parkour stuff in the middle of the pool, we all enjoyed like kids there. There’s a separate pool for adults, which was really quiet, the way it should be. After the pool we went to take steam in the Spa area. They’ve Massage rooms with Steam room in it. So they’ve multiple steam Rooms, The Spa Team - Zeta ARAYA, Ying Kajana, Bee Malairuk, they were all very nice. We enjoyed Steam on both the days. We enjoyed the Premium Lounge after that, Pepsi & Deena, they both are exceptionally sweet, had a smile always and were very pleasing, we had a great time in the lounge. The drinks were good, and food selection was limited but good. At night, we went to Beach, which is right across the road from the back side the hotel. The road isn’t very busy and one of the Hotel staff is always there to help cross the road. There are beach beds also. The Breakfast was really good, had a lot of cuisines, including Indian, as there was a big Indian Group staying on the same dates. On the second day, we went out on the Beach during day time, didn’t enter the water though, then we hired 2 Scooty’s and drove along the beach side, had a local meal at one of the shack. For Dinner, we had the meal at Venezia (in house Italian restaurant) Chef Andrea Bartoli recommended a pizza, we went for the same and it really was better than our usual choice. He personally stayed at the restaurant to put our pizza in the oven, it was really really nice, crunchy also, melting in the mouth also. Tar Tar at the concierge was very sweet and guided us very well. It was all a very nice, happy and warm vibe throughout our stay there. Big thanks to the Hotel Team.

The staff make Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa resort a 5 star experience. Special shout-outs to the following individuals/teams for making our time in Krabi an unforgettable one: Weena, the Yoga and Thai Lesson coach. She is a genuinely lovely person, who will adapt the Yoga sessions to meet the groups ability. Would highly recommend joining one of her sessions during your stay. Tas & Focus, from Explorer bar. Focus has unwavering warm energy and never fails to put a smile on your face. Tas is a master of his craft, creating bespoke cocktails upon request that never disappoint. Finally the Maya restaurant and Activities team for your energy and kindness. However, nothing is without fault and for a 5 star resort we did find the following to be lacking: Limited to no access to drinking water by the pool. Additionally, still water not being included with your meals even if you are half-board. Activities are not well advertised, with most people unaware of what is offered and when. Easy solution could be having the leaflet in each room upon arrival or a board similar to the trips offered. The fitness centre is currently under construction, which you are not informed of during booking. A replacement gym has been constructed but it is limited. Overall, we have had a great experience and would recommend a stay at this resort to others.

We just returned from a nice stay at Sofitel, Krabi From the reception staff to the activities team and housekeeping, everyone went to deliver top-level service and make us feel truly special. We dined several times at the White Lotus restaurent . It was absolutely excellent , spicy :) and highly recommended . The whole team Sao, Lita,Jubjib, Som, May, Jah, chef - Don, Mooky, Mahabir, Ankit were always smiling, friendly, and attentive, creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As it wasn’t high season, the resort wasn’t overcrowded, which made our stay even more relaxing. We were also lucky with the weather – just perfect! We played golf a couple of times. The course may not have the longest holes, but it’s quite challenging. Part of the hotel was under renovation during our stay, but we were not disturbed by it. Some areas are starting to show a bit of wear and could use an update. Although the furniture isn’t new, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The pool area for adults has sunbeds — really nice ones — with pergolas available on a first-served basis. Towels are provided and replenished throughout the day. The Poda pool bar team — Sky, Boy, Na, Palmy, Bao, Sem, and Kuny Rak — create delicious cocktails. At check-out, we even received a lovely handwritten card from the restaurant staff, thanking us for choosing to dine with them almost every day and wishing us a safe journey home. Such a sweet and thoughtful gesture!

We stayed here for 8nights in early November. Had a wonderful time, facilities amazing, staff friendly and always willing to help and please. Breakfast to die for truly amazing selection and choice. Two fantastic restaurants. But lastly can't forget the guys at Koh Puda, the pool bar - Sem, Sky, Ma Na, Palma and Boy they were excellent fantastic cocktails and beverages always served with a smile and happy to chat about your day. Hopefully one day we'll be back.

The most perfect stay. The hotel is stunning and every single staff member goes above and beyond for you. Special shoutouts to a few of the staff: Luke, Bright, Son, Boy, Pepsi, Lukewha & Deena who gave advice on all things Krabi to make our stay extra special. Could not recommend staying here more. We had a lovely evening celebrating Loy Krathong at the White Lotus Restaurant. We were so well looked after by the fantastic team Sao, Lita, Sim, Jah, Jib, and May who made the night feel special, explaining in detail our menu. Compliments to the talented chefs Jay, Den, K, and Mook, the food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and full of flavour. It’s been a lovely stay so far and arriving on the Naga Bucha Ratri blessing night made it even more special. Such a memorable experience, thank you to everyone who made it so wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful resort. The resort is going through some upgrades so the room we initially booked was unavailable. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite. The food was superb, White Lotus and Venezia. All the staff we encountered were lovely and helpful. A special thanks to Luk Wha and Deena for their wonderful service.

Checked in for my 30th wedding anniversary celebrations with lot of hope but found it is a soul less hotel. Except a beautiful building and gardens service is not good. In room fan is noisy but staff said it is a normal noise and sleep without fan. In gym there was no air-conditioned and staff said imagine you are in sauna. Shocked by their reply. I been to Thailand many times but this is the first resort who doesn't give free water in their restaurants. Rooms and hotel premise are crying for renovation I think management only want to extract every panny from you. Only face saving is white lotus restaurant. Meal and staff was awesome. Specially restaurant manager Ms Sao. Awesome service by Jan/Jib and Tangmoo. Food was much better than in India restaurants.

We recently stayed at Sofitel Krabi and had a mixed experience overall. The resort itself is beautiful, with large, comfortable rooms and spacious bathrooms that make the stay feel relaxing. But quite a few service aspects fell short of what one expects from a 5-star property. Check-in was slow and confusing. The staff is impersonal (which is surprising for Thailand) and seemed undertrained and unsure of procedures, often giving conflicting information, which made the process more longer and than it should’ve been. The same lack of coordination also showed up during check-out. I’m a Gold member with Accor, and I wanted to redeem my points toward the stay, but I never received the required code email for almost four hours. In the end, I had to pay the full bill instead of using my points, which was disappointing and poorly handled. The dining experience wasn’t great either. The breakfast closes by 10:30 a.m., and after that nothing is open for a few hours and by the time we arrived breakfast was over and the only option is room service. Unfortunately, our room wasn’t ready at that time, so there was no food available at all. The front desk helped us order some food from a very limited menu to be eaten at the lobby but the food showed up extremely late and our order was completely incorrect. To add to that, there’s an additional tray service charge for room service—which feels out of place for a hotel in this category. The only person who was outstanding was Christofer who came to meet us and apologised for the breakfast mess up. Thank you Christofer! Breakfast was fine in terms of spread, but once again, the service fell short. Several staff members didn’t seem properly trained or couldn't understand our requirement and we had to ask multiple times for basic things before they arrived. While the rooms are undeniably spacious and comfortable, the corridors and staircases could use barrier protection during the rain — they become slippery when it rains due to water ingress, which is a dangerous as one can easily slip and injure themselves. Overall, Sofitel Krabi has great potential because of its beautiful property and location, but the staff training (or lack thereof), service standards, and operational efficiency need serious improvement for it to truly deliver a premium experience.
