Nora Beach Resort and Spa

We took a Luxury Escapes Package which was excellent. Resort is relaxing, facilities good, staff excellent who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Cha Cha and Rock at pool bar made our afternoons fun and their service was 10/10! Will definitely be visiting again

Just returned from another wonderful experience at the Nora Beach Resort & Spa. This was the third occasion that we have stayed at this resort, and each occasion is even more enjoyable for us. All of the staff provide such a welcoming, professional and friendly environment, which makes our stay feel like home. The overall facilities i.e. restaurant, pool, spa, gym & transport options are very good, and we greatly appreciated the quality of the ocean view villa, once again. The service provided by all staff here is the standout and we will look forward to returning again very soon.

Very nice hotel with direct beach access. The hotel area is very green and looks like a park. The breakfast in the restaurant located directly at the beach is top notch. The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful! Big thanks to Aum and Blossom at the front desk for beeing supported relating our late checkout.

We absolutely loved our 8 nights stay here - it is paradise! The staff are amazing and genuinely will go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. The grounds are beautiful and well kept by a dedicated team. We stayed in a family pool villa suite, for my husband and I. I love the layout of this enormous villa. The bathroom had plenty of space for each of us, we had our own wardrobes, the comfortable 4 poster bed and netting and lighting is so romantic, plus it was nice having the living area and pool/terrace. The pool was partly shaded which was so nice in the heat of the day and the perfect temperature. We also had a frangipani tree dropping flowers around, so pretty. Our villa was completely private and quiet. I would choose one of those again on our next stay. The main pool area is very nice and we enjoyed many cocktails there (thanks Cha Cha!). Happy hour is 2-4pm, 2 for 1 drinks. Unlike other resorts, there always seemed to be enough pool loungers for everyone. I like that this resort is not huge and feels more authentically Thai, friendly and down to earth with a quiet luxury and lovely small touches everywhere. We met several guests who are "regulars" and come back to Nora every year. The Spa was excellent (we each had a 90 min aroma massage). Two of our favourite things about this resort is the location (5 min drive north of Chaweng), so you are close to the action but in a secluded, quiet area and secondly, the beach. Not many resorts on Koh Samui have a good swim-able beach in front, where the water is almost always deep enough to swim, with soft sand. We swam at the beach in front of the resort 2-3 times a day. The water was clean, turquoise and heavenly - often cooler than the pool. A couple of minor negatives.. I used the gym 5 times during my stay and I was usually in there on my own which was good because it is quite small. 2 good treadmills and some weights/machines, but it feels a little cramped when someone else is in there too. Also, compared to breakfasts we have enjoyed at other resorts, this one was ok. There is a good amount of variety and an egg station, but the quality could be better - especially with the muesli, yoghurts, juices, pastries etc. We met the new F&B manager, so perhaps there will be some improvement. The main restaurant where all meals are enjoyed has a gorgeous location overlooking the beach. We loved sitting there for hours. If you want to drink something non-alcoholic, their 'fruit blend' drinks are really nice - basically ice blended with fresh fruit, such as mango or watermelon. The lunches and dinners were all excellent and well priced, considering you are in a hotel. The staff in the restaurant were fantastic, efficient, friendly and got to know our preferences. They have a sister resort called Nora Buri which is 3 min drive away to the north and if you ask at reception they will run you up there in one of the resort's vehicles and collect you after, or you can walk back along the beach. They have 2 stunning pool areas you can enjoy as a Nora guest, with pool towels provided. We just paid cash or card for our drinks there. On the whole, Nora Beach Resort & Spa is one of the best resorts we have stayed at on the island (we have stayed in 4 others including the Hyatt) and we are already planning a return next year!

I booked Tropical Suit (with partial sea-view from living room) from the website, however, after going there, ground floor room was given with no sea view at all!! Very disappointed, not worth $300 per night. Location was also not that good. Atmosphere was not what it shows on the website. Cleanliness was okay-ish. No noise at all. Service and amenities are okay.
