Holiday Inn Express Shrewsbury by IHG

Not a great deal, to be honest. Comfortable bed and pillows. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The rooms were not particularly clean. The hotel had a very budget feel, despite not being the cheapest in the area.

We were very impressed with this Holiday Inn, staff were friendly, rooms clean, breakfast included and free parking.

There was a banging noise from the room above ours at about 3am in the morning, which woke us up.

Lovely big room. Was very comfortable.

Breakfast was very busy and due to shortage of staff, items kept running out and people had to ask for more to be brought out.

The room itself was dated with a tired looking bathroom, not especially clean either. The beds in the room were akin to sleeping on a plank of wood, minus the splinters. £169 for the Saturday evening was very overpriced. I would have been more comfortable arriving in my van, parking it and sleeping in there. I'm well travelled UK wide and have to say other hotels do far better for the price. This was short notice, hence paying so much money, I suppose. Also proximity to town centre not especially convenient, but not the end of the world.

My room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable location of inn was excellent and a good size carpark

There is nothing I can say I didn't like was completely satisfied with my stay

The bed was comfortable and it was close to the places I needed to go to. The shower was lovely and accessible and suitable for all needs. The access to the room was also suitable for my nan who struggles to walk.

The mugs were dirty when we arrived in the room therefore I couldn’t have a drink of tea or coffee. The remote control wasn’t working in the room we were in. The hash browns during breakfast were dry and the coffee machine did not have milk in it for the latte.

Breakfast was hit and miss no milk in coffee machine and waited half hour for cooked food that went in seconds
