Shower water pressure is on the low side and the renovation in the room is a bit worn Out .

This hotel was amazing! The rooms were beautiful, spacious and well-appointed. The staff were so helpful and met our every need. The breakfast buffet was incredible! The noodle chef helped me figure out how to fix my bowl and all of the staff were working like crazy! Loved the location - so easy to walk around to restaurants and shopping. We even walked to Ben Hai park - beautiful!

Good service overall. Excellent location for travelling around the City. Enjoyed the variety of selection for semi buffet style breakfast on the 17th Floor as much as the open view of the City. Would be helpful if a note of the opening hours of the 17th floor and when food is served in the room. Spacious and well equipped gym room for decent work out. Very satisfied for the stay.

Hotel is located centrally and just a few minutes walk from the subway train station (Line 6) and within reach to the cultural sights. Booked a junior suite for 3 nights and room was nice and comfortable. I had access to the club lounge and it provided a nice view of Beijing in particular during sunset. The club lounge cocktail provided from 6pm to 8pm consisted of hot food, in particular local fare, which is excellent quality, coupled with drinks. Breakfast selection at the restaurant was not too bad. However, experience of the stay was dampened by multiple incidents that happened throughout the stay which totally spoilt my mood. Firstly, during check-in, I told the check-in staff to charge the full accommodation stay to my credit card, only to be told that it is a prepaid rate and they had already charged to my card. I had asked her to confirm as I am sure I have booked a flexible cancellation rate via IHG website, and hence the amount should not have been charged as yet. Check-in staff was very definitive and hence, only a 3000CNY card guarantee amount was taken in the event that there are additional room charges. Secondly, I was only informed on the day before check-in that there will be an important guest staying at the hotel which will result in security checks. So regardless, as it has past the cancellation period, I would have to stick to the room reservation. On the day of the stay, as I was heading down from the room to the ground floor, I was rudely told by the security personnel that I had to stay away from the main hall as the VIPs are returning to hotel. I had no idea where to position myself as each time I moved to somewhere, I was told that I should not be here. Eventually when this is over, I had to ask the staff if it is okay for me to leave the hotel as the staff assumed that we will know. I booked a ride and waited at the hotel front lobby. Eventually I realized that the car was waiting outside the hotel as the entrance to the hotel was totally sealed off! I had similar stay in another intercontinental hotel in Beijing where there was a VIP staying and guests were not so inconvenienced. I wrote an email to the Guest Relations and they apologised for the inconvenience and that they will send a bottle of champagne to my room which I did not see it in the room. The duty manager contacted me via email and asked if I am still staying in the hotel room as he does not notice large luggage in the room. I replied via email that since I have already booked the room for 3night stay, to keep the room till my checkout date. When I returned to the hotel on the 3rd night, both room cards did not work. The house-keeping staff who were doing their rounds told me that they already blocked access to my room as they did not notice that I am "actively" staying in the room. When I went to the front desk, they insisted that it must be a magnetic strip issue with both cards and not what the house-keeping had told me. When i left the front desk, they had to chase me back as they realised that the deposit amount of CNY3000 is not sufficient to cover the room charges which was what I told the front desk staff at check-in. I love the hotel location and the club lounge. Unfortunately the overall experience is pale in consideration compared to my previous stay with Regent Beijing and the other 2 intercontinental hotels in Beijing. I would like to add that this is just my personal opinions based on various hotels that I had stayed in Beijing.

Breakfast was not vegetarian friendly, the menu is more local and not suitable for international travellers.
