Book a one day stay. The stay was not worth for the price and it is not suitable for elders. Would give a visit if you only young couple absolutely not worth the amount.

If you’re looking for the best beach resort experience there is no better place than Temple Bay; best property, staff and hospitality with plenty of activities that can keep you at the resort the whole time. Not to mention walkable distance to all things Mahabs.

The property was beautiful, well maintained landscaping within the property and amazing amenities. However, the beach access area needed a little bit of cleaning and better maintenance. I took a morning stroll to the beach and encountered lots of plastic and trash. Furthermore, all 3 visitors got head lice after visiting the property (never had), this is likely from the bedding/towels in the room. It is very frustrating but I encourage the hotel to take more care while washing or changing beddings and toiletries.

"Memorable stay"

We chose pool chalet, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and maintained clean. There were hiccups waiting for the buggy. With that exception, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Perfect family stay"

What a great stay! Wish we could’ve stayed longer. We were enroute to Kochi from Doha and wanted to stay somewhere nice for a day’s transit. We are so glad we chose to stay at Radisson Temple Bay. It’s away from the airport but totally worth it. The room was spacious and the bed so comfortable. We chose the beach facing chalet and it was perfect! My son enjoyed the pool and the bathtub. I specially enjoyed the in room dining dinner that we ordered which was Tandoori Non Veg Khazana, it was delicious and such a hearty meal for the three of us. Dal Makhani was to die for! We also enjoyed the lunch buffet and the breakfast buffet. Top rated. Since we travelled in July 2025 the weather was pretty hot and humid. If I could pick a feedback then it would be this that the property could definitely install some sprinkler fans to cool down the areas at the lounges and especially at the Wharf their specialty restaurant as we tried dining there at night but it was hot and outdoors with mosquitoes and bugs wasn’t the best idea. The activities were great too and well maintained. We enjoyed family time at the activities club. The staff was extremely polite and hospitable. Would love to come back in the future!

We had an exceptional stay at Radisson Blu Mahabalipuram. Right from the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and humility that made us feel truly welcome. Every interaction — from the reception to housekeeping to the restaurant team — was marked by their courteous and attentive service. The property itself is stunning, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located along the serene coastline. But what really stood out was the kindness of the team, always eager to assist with a smile and going the extra mile to ensure we had a comfortable and memorable stay. "Splendid Radisson Mahabalipuram!!"

I had a fantastic stay at this property. It is one of the largest properties in Mahabalipuram and has the cleanest beach. The director, Ms. Malar Arun, helped us with our last-minute booking. As a director, she was extremely approachable and ensured guests were taken care off including their special request related to room. This is a MUST visit property for families or business meetings.

"Don't bother if you are with elderly or want good service"

We had a supremely underwhelming experience at Temple Bay during our stay this weekend. I chose this resort because I was clear that I wanted a resort where my elderly mother can manage (she is unable to walk a lot) and I was told there was a buggy service that should suffice. I was also upsold a package which included dinner among other things which I was happy to accept. **Most painful issues that we faced (that even 3 star hotels manage well) ** 1. Despite being clear that we are travelling with an elderly person (during our booking call) who needs help getting around, we were given two rooms on the first floor that required climbing steps. This was changed after I made it clear that this is unacceptable to us. We finally stayed in rooms 84 ( ground floor) and 90(first floor) in different blocks (albeit relatively nearby). 2. The buggy service required us to wait inordinately everytime we called 1 (operator number). It felt like the buggy service was being done on an optional basis. There were multiple times during the trip that we just left our mother behind in the room since we knew the hassle of getting a buggy was not worth it. The package dinner restaurant is at the reception and is ridiculously far from the rooms. If I knew it would be this far, I would have not opted for it at all (given the buggy service limitations). 3. The worst experience was for dinner. We called 1 and asked for a buggy three times over thirty mins with no response. Context being my mother being a diabetic on medication needs to have her meals in a timely manner. When I finally got upset and (dialed 1) and asked for the name of the person and to connect to her manager, she literally just cut the call and didn't pickup the call during subsequent dials of 1. It was as if I was blocked from communicating with anyone to even communicate and ask for help. In my opinion, this is absolutely unacceptable that the hotel blocks a customer and does not answer their calls. I expected a call or apology from this person or closure on this from the duty manager but that never happened. I thought this number was handled by the reception staff but they pointed me to some back office team which is weird for a resort. 4. When I called "1" on Sunday asking for some clarification, we were asked when we were planning on vacating the room, I mentioned 1 PM and was curtly told that that was not possible and we need to checkout by 12. I asked her to ask the duty manager to call me since he was aware of our ordeal so far. But I received no call and we decided to not overstay our welcome and checked out at 12. 5. The room that my mother stayed in had loud noises at night. Sounded like some AC machine malfunction followed by a power cut. My mother felt there was some issue with the AC. She had previously called 1 asking for the AC remote and was told that the ac remote is somewhere in the room only. She checked the drawers and it was not to be found. Since she already experienced the poor quality of service at the hotel, she didn't even bother calling someone to come see checkout the noise and just slept through it. Instead of a better experience she had a worse experience than our home itself. 6. We were missing a bag after a late checkin and we were unable to locate it. I called 1 and asked them to check if it was left at the reception. I got no response back on this. When I finally went a couple of hours later and complained loudly about this and the buggy service to the duty manager (Abhinesh), only then was it properly checked and communicated that it wasn't there. Subsequently I checked our car where it was present. The point being, when the Radisson team says they will check, i expect a proactive call back atleast within 1-2 hours. **Not-so-painful issues that I expect from a five star hotel** 7. Simple things like a sunscreen are not available at a beach resort (even for purchase) 8. My wife checked in after a long day with two kids and requested if the high tea snacks could be sent to the room since our kids was sleeping. She was bluntly refused by the duty manager then (we don't recollect her name). I understand that the rule is that high tea is only served at a particular location but these are things that are easily accommodated in better hotel chains like Taj, Sheraton or ITC. My wife ended up ordering room service. 9. The timings of the pool is not clear. On Saturday night when we enquired with a hotel staff near the pool, he mentioned that the pool closes by 630 and that people in the pool will be leaving soon. We later found out from someone else that it closes at 8 PM and we saw people in there even after 7. It feels like depending on their own personal needs and agenda, each hotel staff tells whatever they want to manage the "crowd". We missed a chance to spend some time in the pool when we wanted to. 10. Overall it felt like the staff have been around for many years and some of them don't really feel like offering great service anymore. They just want to manage the crowd. We got a follow up call about feedback and it's been three days since I have sent the feedback but no one seems to be bothered beyond the initial acknowledgement that mail was received. Will definitely not plan here for our future holidays and staycations.
