"Dirty and in disrepair, but staff was friendly. "

The room was so dirty and in disrepair. Bed was uncomfortable and the hallways smelled. Bathroom had gross stuff on the side, a dead spider in the corner on the countertop, and the A/C was literally cracked open. It worked but just kind of highlighted how run down the place is. Staff was nice.

"Rethinking our Hilton honors membership"

This is probably the worst hotel we have ever stayed in! I booked the room through our Hilton app for 3 people, when we arrived there was only one bed. I assumed the sofa chair folded out into a bed, which it did not. We asked if a cot could be put in the room but were told no due to a “fire hazard “. We were given keys to a room with 2 beds, when we entered it looked as though someone was already staying in this room, scary! The toilet was used, bed was unmade, and a mess had been left. Still not sure if someone was staying there or if it was left dirty and uncleaned. We quickly left and went back to the front desk where we were stuck in our original room. One of us had to sleep on the floor! Yuck! On top of that the chair was gross, the rooms phone was broken, and the water in the toliet as well as sink and shower was a nasty yellow brownish color. We were supposed to be compensated part of the room charge, but that did not happen when we received our final receipt. I tried to contact the hotel through the Hilton app, but no one would ever respond. For an old run down hotel, $250+ is unacceptable! We will most likely switch to another hotel chain if this is where Hilton hotels are headed. Very disappointing. We did in fact cancel our reservation for the return trip.

"Disappointed Hilton Diamond—This Location Has Gone Severely Off Brand"

I’ve been a loyal Hilton Diamond member for years, but my recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn West Monroe was one of the most underwhelming experiences I’ve ever had. Lobby & Hallways: Upon arrival, I noticed the lobby and corridors were stiflingly hot and humid—no functioning A/C in sight. It was so oppressive that I found condensation forming around my room door. The common areas felt neglected and uncomfortable. Room & Bathroom Condition: The bathroom was appalling—rusty tub fixtures and what clearly was an uncleaned toilet (I even found urine in it). The overall cleanliness felt well below what this brand should deliver. This mirrors many recent complaints about rust, humidity, and cleanliness issues Front Desk & Service: Around midnight I needed a snack and found nobody at the front desk. Another guest later told me he’d been waiting at least 20 minutes trying to check in. Even after I returned to my room, the front desk remained empty. In the morning, I saw four staff members chatting and laughing—none attentive. When I spoke up about the check-in delay, one male staffer responded condescendingly: “Well, believe it or not, we have to use the restroom sometimes, too!” This poor service and attitude feel completely unacceptable—especially for a Diamond member. Summary: What could have been just a poor or hot night turned into a full-spectrum failure: broken air-conditioning, filthy bathroom, inattentive and impolite staff. Recent online reviews echo my concerns—rusty showers, brown water, malfunctioning HVAC, pets of bugs falling from vents—clearly, this hotel is in decline . As a frequent traveler with Hilton stays across the country, I can say few properties have disappointed me this badly. This is not a one-off bad stay—it’s a reflection of systemic neglect. I won't be returning, and as a Diamond, I expect better. Recommendation Tip for Hilton Management: This isn’t just a guest complaint—it’s a pattern. Please address the A/C failures, bathroom cleanliness, rust issues, and front desk staffing and service training urgently!

"Avoid this hotel. Believe me."

Do not stay here unless you don't plan on sleeping. We were awakened at 3:30am by people screaming snd fighting in the next room. It continued. And no we didn't report it because we feared retribution. Didn't sound like civilized people next door. We packed up snd left at daylight. And you can believe all the nasty reviews already posted. The linens were gray and worn and dirty. After showering, I was standing in two inches of scummy brown water. Had to go downstairs and buy a $5 bottle of water to brush my teeth with. Let me save you some money. I asked for a refund because we didn't get what we paid for....somewhere to spend the night. In peace! Lets see what happens.
