"Fantastic holiday, shame about the food and lack of service"

6.0

We had the a really good holiday 2 A 2 C 13&12. We all had a wonderful, relaxing time, we had a swim up room but used the activity pool everyday which was lots of fun, the animation team are brilliant and super friendly. Our room was 5102 which got the sun after 2pm, if you stay in this block be prepared to not sleep until gone midnight, there is a disco in the next hotel which is that loud the windows shake! The grounds are beautiful and the staff work hard to keep all areas tidy. We felt as a family this hotel gave us everything we needed to have fun and relax but the good and service sadly let this hotel down, breakfast is less chaotic but sadly lacking in choice unless you like pancakes, the pastries just looked over baked and dry! For lunch we ate mainly at the snack bar, the pizza is the best thing if they have any because it was hit and miss with what food would be available and if you hate wasps be prepared to fight them off! There are loads! Evening meal is an absolute nightmare, if you are lucky enough to get a table you will probably have to find cutlery then go to the bar for any drinks which after holidaying in Turkey many many times is a first! Then it is the fight to get food, it is not a nice environment to feel relaxed and enjoy any food! The food is not the best and the whole dining experience lets this hotel down massively. The staff in the other bars are fantastic especially in The Sunset Bar, we went in there every night. We all had a great holiday but sadly let down by the food and service in the main buffet. 5 stars 🌟 for the pools, bars, grounds and staff 3 stars 🌟 for the main buffet, lack of service and chaos Nearly forgot to mention Kelly on guest relations who is so helpful and friendly.

"A great choice for families!"

8.0

This is a fantastic hotel, positioned right on the beach. The rooms are decent sizes and clean. The beds are amazingly comfortable! The food is delicious with a wide variety to suit all palates. I especially enjoyed the cooked on demand section in the middle of the main restaurant! The pudding range is the best I’ve ever seen and for a healthier option, the fresh fruit is really tasty! The pools are great and plentiful! The only down side to this hotel were the mosquitos and the cleanliness of the sea. Whilst the sea was warm, it was not so pleasant swimming past plastic and crisp wrappers! I’m not sure what the hotel can do about this as the sea clearly stretches much beyond their area of beach. To finish on a good note, I found all staff helpful, smiley and approachable. In particular, the bar staff at the pool with the ping pong table, the animation staff and the ladies who made the Gozleme- another culinary delight! I would definitely recommend this place for families and would return again

"Mosquitoes mosquitoes mosquitoes!"

6.0

This is a lovely hotel with some great facilities, but it was let down by poor service, and more so, by the sheer amount of mosquitoes. This was my tenth trip to Turkey and I've never experienced mosquitoes like it (I never usually get bitten at all). Food - the food is tasty with a good selection, particularly on the themed nights, but it did get a bit repetitive (especially lunch at both the snack bar and buffet). The buffet restaurant is nothing short of chaotic at times - noisy, people without tops on, queues, everyone rushing. The service (drinks and clearing tables) was VERY poor compared to other hotels in Turkey. Pools - a good selection of pools with plenty of sunbeds and it never felt too crowded. Each pool had a different vibe. The slides and splash park were great. The activity pool was our favourite, the animation team created a fun environment and were very friendly. Aqua gym and Zumba were excellent. Room - our room was small but comfortable enough. We had 5 coathangers between 3 of us! It was spotlessly clean upon arrival but housekeeping was poor. Linen, towels and bins were seen to daily but there was no other cleaning done during the 11 nights (no wiping of sink, work surfaces, mirror, shower, floors etc). Our floor was filthy for the last few days. The shower gel and shampoo were empty upon arrival and were never refilled despite requesting this at both reception and guest relations. We had two notes left to say the bed sheet was in the wash and would be returned once dry - we never saw it again. General - the onsite market is handy. The mini disco and mini club were good. The hotel grounds are well maintained and look beautiful. Toilet facilities were sometimes messy with no toilet paper. The evening entertainment was good, especially the nights in the garden, beach etc, but I feel some live music would be nice in the lobby or sunset bar. It was sometimes difficult to work out what entertainment was on, when and where (the info board isn't clear). The cocktails were poor unless you get them from the Sunset Bar. The beach is clean with lovely soft sand - it was a beautiful place to watch the sunset. There aren't enough lifts for the amount of people, we often used the stairs to go 5 floors. Kelly at guest relations is really helpful. Mosquitoes - this absolutely ruined our holiday. No repellent will stop them. I got bitten 12 times on the first night, then continuously during the stay. I got 5 bites to my hands during the Kids Fest and got cellulitis from this. The on-site medical staff referred me to hospital and this was a very costly and frightening experience. I wasted the final 3 days of my holiday in bed. We saw a drone one night, which apparently is to spray repellent but didn't see any other measures. The bites are not small ones either, they turn into huge red lumps. We spent the whole trip covered in unsightly red lumps, itching, burning and swatting mosquitoes away. Yes this is nature, but I'd rather spend my money going somewhere that doesn't have this issue. After 9 previous, amazing holidays in Turkey, this experience was definitely the worst.

"Great hotel but bring plenty of bite spray and cream"

10.0

Lets start with the negatives and TBH there isn’t many and none of these affected our holiday: On arrival at the hotel, we were ushered off the bus and advised our suitcases would be take care off, instead they lost my suitcase. I got it back later that night (some 5 hours later) and received no formal apology from the management of the hotel at all. No management at all spoke to my family and acknowledged us, although they took the time to speak to non-English guests. There is a major issue with getting bitten by insects at this resort and all my family suffered heavily despite using spray every day/ night. Nearly everyone I spoke to experience the same. There is a lack of service for drinks in the buffet restaurant and most of the time, I had to go and ask for drinks. I understand that if you tip them in advance, they look after you, however I only tip for good service and should now be pressured into tipping to obtain the basic level of service I have paid for. Room service wasn’t great, the staff were lovely, however cleaning the floor would have been handy. No decaf coffee of tea on site and when I questioned this I got nowhere. There is a lack of activities for older children/ teenagers to do as most of the daytime activities were adult only. The buffet didn’t have much choice for children in the evenings. The bathroom in the hotel bedroom is small. There are no lights on the balcony in the hotel room. The duvets are not great in the hotel rooms, I had to ask for a second one to stay warm. Positives: The Amination Team are great, Barbie in particular who looked after and entertainment my children throughout the holiday, thank you. Without this team and the activities, and shows they put on, the hotel would be a very different experience. The ‘parties’ were great, and they put a lot of time and effort into these. I cannot praise this team enough, they were all wonderful and very friendly. Staff in the pool bars were great and very friendly. Staff in the lobby bar were great. The resort is very clean and tidy, with people regularly cleaning and maintain all areas. The snack bar is great along with the waffle station with plenty of choice and hot food. The coffee shop looked amazing, although I didn’t try it as there was no decaf. My son used it a lot and said the coffee was nice. The water park is great and lifeguards are very cheerful and friendly. The activity pool was great fun with decent music played all day, The food in the buffet was hot and sometimes warm, but never cold. There was enough choice just and don’t forget to visit the ‘grill’ area. Great effort was put into the Buffet Restaurant although you had to get in early to experience the big welcome from the staff and the welcome cocktails (for adults and children). The Italian and Mexican restaurants were good. The sunset bar is fab, and if you want an air con bar, head to the ‘pub’. The shop on site has most things you need but branded sun lotion is expensive. The games room looked good, however we didn’t use it. Kelly in guest relations is great, always smiling and always saying hello. The coach transfer time was 1hr 15min going with no traffic and 1hr returning with no traffic. Overall, well worth the money we paid and we had a great time, however I wouldn’t rush back to it.

"A fabulous family holiday with just a few let downs that would have made it perfect."

8.0

Just got back from a fabulous two weeks at palm wings. Leaving an honest review. A brilliant hotel that we would happily return to. just a couple of niggles that stopped me giving 5 stars but overall it was an amazing two weeks where the positives massively outweighed the negatives. We travelled as a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children 15F, 14F and 6M). We travelled during peak time in the school summer holidays. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family room (room 5204). POSTIVIES The hotel itself and its grounds. The hotel is beautifully kept. Clean. Tidy and the grounds are well looked after. The gardens are gorgeous with lots of colourful flowers and it really is lovely to just wander around. The hotel feels spaced out, but not so large that its annoying to walk around etc. It never felt crowded or like people were on top of one another (despite being peak time). Yes it gets busy in the dinner hall and snack but we always got somewhere to sit for 5 without waiting. The pools are lovely. Not too deep (activity pool is 135, main pool is 140 at its deepest) and there is a baby pool (40cm) and a shallow end (80cm) for non swimmers. The pool areas are kept immaculately clean. The pools are a good size so you dont feel like everyone is on top of you. The waterpark has something for everyone. Again, it did not feel overcrowded or too busy. I felt quite happy to let my 6 year old play on the main frame independently and just watching him at the bottom of the slides. There were minimal queues for the bigger slides. The children's club was fab. Lots of different little activities every day (from arts and crafts, to pool games, park play, t shirt painting, tea parties etc). My son really enjoyed the odd hour in there playing. The food is perfectly fine. Not the best I've had in turkey but what can be expected at an AI. plenty of choice. Salads at every meal, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses, fresh BBQ items every dinner, pasta station, stews, curry's kebabs etc. There is also plenty for the fussy eater. ..chips, nuggets, burgers, KFC style fillet chicken, mash potato etc. Snack bar food is great for the kids. Mine loved the waffle bar. Ice creams are available between 10 and 5 at each of the drinks bars by the pools. The room was very spacious. It was cleaned daily. The air conditioning was great and independent in each bedroom. The mini fridge was re stocked daily. There are lots of little things in the room (body lotion, soap, shower gel, shower caps, cotton buds, slippers, a kettle with tea and coffee etc). Our room had a beautiful view of fhe ocean and the sunset every night. We overlooked the activity pool. The staff are lovely. They cannot do enough for you. Chico will sort you out with watersports. Jimmy did our photos which were fabulous (and half the price of photos we had done at a hotel 2 years ago). The spa staff were the nicest (and the treatments were fantastic). The cleaners and animation team and bar staff/ waiters work super hard. The sunbed situation was THE BEST. No early morning alarms. With a 6 year old we were up around 7 every day anyway and before 8 you can basically have your pick around the whole site. There were still plenty of beds available at 9.30 which is unheard of in summer holidays. They really seem to have got the amount of beds and brollies right. NIGGLES (not negative) The floor around the pool, whilst cool under foot, was so incredibly slippery when wet (more so than other hotels). I think they could do with some matting around the pool to make this safer. My so fell once and I nearly fell a number of times. Mosquitos. Everywhere. Nothing the hotel can do about it but I was bitten 27 times 🙈 The sea was not great to swim in. Not clear (full of what I think is seaweed but looked a bit like woodshavings) you had to go quite far out to get clear water. Also there was quite a bit of rubbish washing up (which was cleaned up regularly) but not ideal for swimming. (I do understand the hotel cannot control the sea and this could just have been because it was windy and at other times it may be clear) Smoking around (and on one occasion by a particularly rude man) in the pool. There was when we were there a LOT of smoking around the pool. As one of our party is chronically asthmatic this was sometimes troublesome. We have stayed at hotels before where there was non smoking around certain areas of the pool and this would have been ideal. Smoking in the snack bar. Again on a similar point. Whilst there are non smoking and smoking areas this is not policed so even sat in the non smoking area people were smoking. We ended up eating inside 99% of the time fo avoid this. There were some issues with the room. The "childrens" room (with the single beds) had the balcony on it so not ideal from a safety perspective. We ended up giving the double bed to our teenagers and my husband and I took the singles with our 6 year old. The 5th bed in the room was a little fold out chair bed. Whilst this was fine for a 6 year old, I wouldn't have wanted a teenager sleeping on it. There wasn't really enough storage. There were 2 wardrobes (one for each bedroom) and each wardrobe had 1 shelf and 8 coathangers which we found was not enough for 5 people for 2 weeks. There was also nowhere really to store the empty cases they just ended up in the corner of the room. The room was very noisy. During the day the music of the activity pool could be heard as if you were in the pool until around 6pm (so no sitting quietly on fhe balcony reading a book etc). The evenings were the worst though Every night you could hear the music from the hotel next door until gone midnight. This was worse when the bedroom doors were open but manageable when all doors were closed. Every Thursday though the hotel disco basically happens outside your window in this particular room. It is SO loud if you are not someone who wants to stay up till midnight (like my 6 year old) there is no chance of sleep. To be fair to the hotel, they did offer to move us when we spoke to them about it, but the thought of packing / unpacking again filled me with dread given it was only one night a week. Like I say. These are only niggles. All in all we had a fantastic holiday (a couple of sleepless nights) but the positives definitely outweighed the negatives.

"First Experience Of Turkey"

8.0

Just returned home from a Great 10 days family holiday. The hotel is immaculately maintained, cleaned and well presented throughout. The grounds teams do an incredible job keeping the outdoor spaces photographic throughout. We had the 2 bed swim up which was well proportioned and clean, although in block 4 the sun only graced the terrace and pool early morning (although you do have a grass terrace opposite where we moved our loungers to daily to capture the sun) - other blocks had more sun throughout The pool scene was Good, again well maintained and staff cleaning throughout the day, with most of our days spent by the main pool … the sun bed situation always a worry BUT not here, you could get multiple beds at any time of day so no getting up at 6 am with towels :). Food choice offers a good selection (although repetitive at times … like most All inclusive) - but pick your time carefully as it does become very busy, and you end up walking around looking for a table. Eating outdoors on an evening is a no as you become the meal for the mosquitoes, which seemed to increase throughout our stay (again though the hotel where doing what they could spraying nightly with drones / vans) The waffle bar was amazing and the daytime snack bar offered arguably better food than the evening meals. Entertainment has to be the biggest let down and the reason it’s not a 5 Star review … it was poor to say the lease. We had 16 and 12 year olds so the kids entertainment early on was a no go but the acts were basic … and only lasted 30 mins so by 22:00, there is nothing on (other than the occasional Bingo) The Garden party … the 1st one had snacks and bouncy castles which was better but the 2nd one we witnessed was just a DJ playing overly loud music and ballon’s …. Hardly entertaining. The beach and waterpark are great … we used the water park daily and as it’s all on site you can literally ‘pop’ for 10 -20 mins and get straight on everything with no queues. The spa is a must and a great couple of hours experiencing the Turkish bath and scrub - but do it early on to support the tanning process Overal a Great Holiday and would definitely return again.

"Sú tu aj pozitíva aj negatíva, ale negatíva prevládajú. Hotel vôbec nezvláda kapacitu..Wifi je čistá katastrofa"

4.0

I'm here from 16.8 to 23.8.. positives: Water slides, animation programs, garden, cleanliness of rooms. Negatives: dirty sea, restaurant can't handle full capacity at all (no cutlery, plates, dirty tables, at least 15-20 people waiting for omelettes and pancakes, small selection of dishes), wifi is not working anymore, service at the bars is almost non-existent. Last year I was at Sea Shell Vega and it was a completely different standard.

"Lovely hotel for a family holiday"

8.0

11 night holiday as a family of 4: 2 adults and two boys aged 7 and 4 Approx one hour from the airport Easy check in. Towels can be collected and exchanged at the spa on the lower ground floor Room: we had a room on the first floor which had a double bed and bunk bed. Nice and clean and spacious. Free safe. Mini bar stocked with soft drinks only. Re stocked during stay. Plenty of storage although more hangers would be nice! Common problem it seems! Sometimes had to wait a while for lifts so would be a problem if on a higher floor… Very powerful shower with consistent water temperatures. Bathroom was small and had to pivet around toilet to get in the shower but it was fine. Shower was big. Hair drier in bathroom. Kettle and tea/ coffee etc in room Pools- fantastic! Splash pad, young children’s pool, larger slides pool. 2 x big slides for age 10 and over. Large pool with slide structure. Activities pool. Standard pool with ropes off shallow end and separate baby pool Over 16’s pool is beautiful Indoor pool but don’t think it was open or certainly didn’t see it being used Spa- looked lovely but didn’t use it Hairdressers and nail parlour Shop- clothes and minimart - didn’t use so can’t comment On site photographer- didn’t use Plenty of loungers. We never reserve loungers and always got one . If you are not fussy where it is and just want a base for you bag then no big deal Lovely lifeguards who do their job well. Furkan was so lovely and friendly so thank you Immaculate gardens! So pretty Very clean hotel Beach; plenty of loungers plus shaded area. Showers for when you come off the beach . Sea was so warm. Shame about all the plastic in the sea- saw some staff cleaning up but not to a great standard. We did our own sea litter pick- it did depend on the wind/ current . Didn’t spoil the beach but shame to see Watersports were great- did jet ski and parasailing which me and my 7 year old loved and was worth the money . Felt safe and looked after Would be nice if the hotel didn’t use plastic straws and one use plastic cups which adds to the problem. Use reusable plastic cups like other hotel do!! Paper straws are fine! Restaurants: main restaurant really nice. Themed nights. As a pescatarian it always seemed to be the same plain grilled fish . Would be nice to see more mixed seafood and prawns. At breakfast there were only mushrooms on one morning . I had to ask for a meat free omelette so always had to wait. A bit more variety would have been nice. Food was good but had better. 4 x ala carte restaurants which you can book at guest services - Turkish, Mexican, fish and Italian. We booked the fish and Italian only which were both good. Pool lunch bar- pizza which was lovely , burgers, hot dogs, pasta and salad. Home made fresh pida Waffles and ice cream - lovely! Plenty of bars - never had to wait long for a drink. Behic made great cocktails! Lovely coffee bar Great entertainment . Didn’t hear much re daytime entertainment but nice as not in your face . Kids disco at 8:45 then main show afterwards Kids fest every Thursday which is fab Few chickens and peacocks roaming around Location- bus stop outside for local bus. Taxi from outside hotels 15 euro set price into kusadasi which takes around 15-20 minutes. Quite an isolated location. Can walk along beach but just to other hotels. Downside: Lots of mosquitos!! Bring repellent and keep room door closed Not great table service for drinks Too much one use plastic Food could be better with variety My son had his 4th birthday whilst we were there . The restaurant bought him out a cake which I had to pay 10 euro for- other hotel in Turkey have done a cake for free and left him a card and little gift on the bed. They did decorate the bed with towel art but only on his birthday Housekeeping was ok but often things were missed - one bed not made, bin not emptied but nothing I had to complain about Please put lights on the balconies!! So dark if sitting out there!! Overall a great holiday. I wouldn’t not return but tend not to go back to the same place twice
