Haughton Hall Hotel & Leisure Club

Houghton Hall is a charming place to stay. Old fashioned in style and you can see the regal history. Nice grounds too. The Telford Suite room was very nice and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good. The gym is well kitted out and the pool is pretty good. Overall a very pleasant stay for our wedding anniversary.

While parts of the property would benefit from some updating — which I understand is already planned — the character and atmosphere more than make up for it.

Beautiful property externally. Staff friendly

Very dirty: dirt and moss hanging from open windows, dirty sealant on shower, dirty floors, smeared walls, cobwebs down side of tables. Ill kept: rooms unfinished with carpet rolled up, gaps in wallpaper, paint chipped and flaking, drawers sagging, pool table and steam room out of use, garden not maintained. Very expensive drinks menu: £7 cocktail or wine. Staff very friendly and trying their best but multitasking front desk/bar and food service. Rushed, young and inexperienced. Coffee was missed at breakfast. Very few guests. We were put in side building not on photos. No hint of the charm and four poster beds.

I was attending a wedding at Weston Park and this hotel was ideally located. The swimming & Spa facilities are an added bonus to your stay and the breakfast selection available is really good.

The property is quite worn in places and could do with a bit of a facelift.

The location & the Spa Facilities were good, as was the breakfast. The bedroom was a good size.

The Shower was very small & there was no lift. The Bar Food Menu was disappointing & not enough variety.

Some weeding to be done on site and some neglected areas of building HOWEVER under new management and the impression was venue was on the way UP not down , and staff seemed really happy to be working there , making fabulous effort. Some rooms rather a long walk to reach. Would definitely return

The staff were lovely, helpful and welcoming. They read my request for a shower and were able to accommodate. The breakfast was good. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. There is gym facilities including a swimming pool. Overall great value for money.

The main light in the room didn’t work, the television kept asking me to log in and I found it difficult to find what was on each channel ( but that could’ve been me!)

Ii was in room 32. The hallway outsidesmelt bad.bathroom ideal. Carpet in bedroom very dirty. The whole building was in a bad state inside.

Carpet dirty. Quite dated . A small fridge would have been nice. AC would be nice.

The swimming pool was quite good

The grounds surrounding the hotel are badly kept. Weeds everywhere all through the patio bricks some two feet tall. The hotel is very dated and needs fully refurbished. Very expensive for what you get
