Karma Salford Hall Hotel

From the time we entered into reception, restaurant, bar we had a wonderful experience, everyone was so friendly and obliging. Our room was Anne Boleyn room, nice and clean, lovely and warm. Atmosphere in the restaurant and bar was excellent, loved everything about this old building and sitting by the fire places. They had free cheese & wine from 5.30pm on every Monday for people staying at the hotel, what a bonus. Loved this place and would definitely recommend 💯 percent. Would stay here again.

Coldest night, 21 November 2025 room radiator not working. Controls broken on radiator. Reported to reception 30 mins after checking in, was told it would be the next day before anyone could attend to problem.

Went for Sunday lunch yesterday 16th of November 2025. Hadn’t been to Salford Hall for several years, a friend suggested we went there for Sunday lunch. I’m sorry to say I was very disappointed, they had quite a large wedding on which meant we would not in the restaurant we were in what I would describe as a side room, and also there were eight of us the table was laid out as you would layout a meeting table. I appreciate that the staff were busy but they knew they had a very large wedding and they knew that we had booked so really to tell us that they were busy was not really necessary. Perhaps I should’ve employed a couple of extra staff. The starters came and they were all fine, the main courses were very different matter. I had the Sunday lunch beef. The lunch was if you can imagine this piled up, three potatoes on the bottom, which were roast but I have to say they were so hard. It was quite difficult to get into them. I do like my roasters crispy but these were more than crispy! The veg were some cabbage peas and I had one slither of carrots, I think a five year-old as have managed more veg than what was on my plate. The desserts. I had the chocolate tart, oh dear oh dear with a spoon you couldn’t get into it so we asked the waitress to bring us some forks. I’m not sure, of course, but I think she realised as she also brought us a knife each. The tarts were so hard I think most of us left maybe half of it because we just couldn’t use it. I’m not sure if they’ve been frozen and should’ve been got out of the freezer three or four hours before there had been brought out of the freezer but really not a good experience at all. It’s a shame really because I live quite close but I’m sorry I doubt if I will go again and I think the other people in my party felt the same.

We booked a meal in the restaurant and both ordered Sunday roasts, which were delicious. Staff are always friendly and welcoming, particularly Cam, who was excellent. The food is always well-presented and lovely.

Ellie organised a 65th party for my wife family and friends. The hotel provided everything we asked for and more. Superbly organised . Table decorations . Cakes. Food .drinks breakfast rooms .everything was above expectations.

The room was comfortable clean and warm. The room was spacious in a building offering medieval charm. The bar was atmospheric and cosy. We found the location great and visited national trust houses.

1) Welcome drink not offered. This is happened on many of occasions 2) Reception and room service didn’t answered the calls 3) Radiator never came on and full of cobwebs 4) No sport channels in the bar 5) It was my birthday on 8th and we checked in on the same day - Fractional Owner # 58716 I was not wished or provided birthday drinks/cake 6) Mattress was very poor quality and sinks in 7) Saw other guests offered welcome drinks 8) We were kept waiting for 10 minutes at the entrance past our reservation 9) Tom Colin’s was not served as per the menu 10) Lots of items were not available from the menu 11) Waiter was not aware on the items on the menu. 11) Unsatisfied birthday experience

Stay at Salford Hall was lovely. Morgan & Zeki were extremely helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Cheryl was also very hospitable at breakfast. We requested a ground floor room due to my mobility issues & it was also my partners birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make sure it was a special stay for us - thanks to all!

We had a five day stay at Salford Hall and we loved it. We opted for a superior room in the main building and our room was fantastic. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant every day and the food was well cooked and fresh. We have food allergies and we would like to thank Aindi for all his help working out what we could/couldn’t have. His knowledge of the wines was helpful as well.
