I cannot recommend this hotel enough!! Luis and Leonardo could not have been more helpful. They made our visit. They always made sure we were safe, comfortable and they always had a happy personality. When I come back, I will be staying with them!

This was definitely one of my all time favorite places to stay! I have truly fallen in love with the city of Quito and the wonderful people here! This hotel is so beautiful and the location is perfect for walking to churches, restaurants and shops. The staff are amazing and we felt so well taken care of! Luis and Leonardo are charming and they were so helpful to us during our visit. I definitely recommend coming to Quito and staying in the Hotel Plaza Grande!

The Plaza Grande is a stellar hotel and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Luis Alberto, Leonardo, and Alexander went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and help us to enjoy our stay in Quito. Luis even printed a lovely 4 page information packet with pictures to help us learn about and find many of the beautiful churches within walking distance of the hotel. Highly recommended!! We plan to return!

Plaza Grande Hotel is an absolute gem. The food and service were excellent from start to finish. The concierge went above and beyond—arranging seamless transportation to and from the airport and accommodating every request with genuine warmth and friendliness. The staff made us feel truly cared for, not just “checked in.” And a must: don’t leave without trying the ice cream—it’s unexpectedly incredible

Room was lovely

The building is opposite a church. You’ll hear the bells ring from 05:00. At the weekend, the mass begins very early, before 06:00. On the street of the hotel there are street vendors, performers (who sing and talk through a megaphone) 📢 throughout the day until 20:30. The hotel is NOT double glazed so no chance for an afternoon nap. At breakfast on the first day, I mentioned that we do not eat pork. The second day, I ordered some avocado, tomatoes and fried eggs… I was given bacon sausages and two eggs! The waiter even wrote the order down 😵‍💫. I ordered orange juice but they ran out and I was at breakfast at 08:00. In fact they ran out of a number of juices and didn’t have earl grey tea either. Crappy service at the restaurant. My husband waited over half an hour for French toast and the order was out in together!!! On check in I was granted a late check out at 15:00. On the day I was told this was not documented and I need to vacate thankfully by 13:00. For the price , I would book elsewhere. Such a shame!!! Had I hopes for our last hotel after a three week trip around Colombia and Ecuador. What a disappointment!!! On a plus… the doorman was really professional

Property was beautiful and very convenient to all the sites downtown. Staff and service was exceptional!
