We had problems with plumbing in room. Told front desk and was fixed. Staff was friendly and courteous and very helpful

Great modern hotel, excellent service at the front desk and restaurant. The hotel shuttle by Julian was extremely efficient as well - thank you!

The bar area was very relaxing. The bathroom in the room is beautiful and very clean.

Room was exactly as shown in the photographs - extremely comfortable with a luxurious feeling and beautiful attention to detail. The restaurant was top notch and highly recommend. Car park was a bonus! More than anything however, what stood out was the staff - every single one of them from day to night, reception to dining room were so welcoming, warm and wonderful, it's been a long time to find a hotel where this is genuine and authentic.

the room was freezing as the air conditioning oddily had been set up at 16 degrees! I changed the setting and called reception too and coudl see that the heating setting had appeared but there was no meaningful change in the room temperature. So I managed to switch it off but I was still freezing. There was no slippers so walking bare feet on the cold bathroom floor wasnt nice. Pity because the room itself was great and I was looking forward to a cosy night that I entirely missed to have.

Stayed here on business for 2 nights. Couple of booking issues for a colleague of mine - both Ruth and Sam on the reception desk couldn't have been more helpful despite the issues being external rather than Dakota. Genuinely appreciated - their approach and willingness to find a solution was refreshing. Hats off and thank you for delivering an excellent customer experience.

The rooms are modern, large and clean. I visited with my baby and the cot was comfy and set up with a book, towel, cover and teddy bear. I found this lovely. The staff were friendly.

I think it is pricey considering there is no breakfast included. The location is perfect for me as I visit friends in Barnton but I don’t think it is ideal for visitors to Edinburgh so I’m surprised it’s as pricey as it is.
