"Attention to detail"

"inadequate"

sagging mattresses, noisy road, street lights shining into rooms through inadequate blinds are only some of the issues. disturbing was the electronic lock malfunctioning, not letting us into the building at night with no staff available to assist

"Not the quaint, charming Berkshires experience it should have been."

Disappointing is an understatement. Booked specific room on line - moldy/must room, no way to stay in it. Moved to tiny, poorly lit (extension cords going up the wall) room, hideous 4" in diameter dried arrangement above bed.Filthy rugs in room & in hotel. No sleep, no light to read by, asked about coffee from kitchen crew at 7 - told not before 8. Charge you $39 for welcome drink, cordial (no offer for either) & cheap bottle of wine.Front desk staff nice apologizing for "worst room in the inn". Very familiar w/antique homes & frequent visitor to Lenox. Needless to say did not stay for the breakfast....took time to write a detailed complaint - and no answer from new owner...shame on them.

Great mattress! Thatโ€™s our #1 criteria given back issues. Lovely, super helpful staff, breakfast was fantastic. Clean, modern bathrooms in a nicely renovated older home with a great layout.

"Welcoming hosts, great location, superb breakfast and charming ambience"

It was a cosy lovely inn. We were welcomed with brownies and a bottle of wine in our room. Tea and coffee facilties were freely available. The hosts were very welcoming. Breakfast was very good. The location was near to some lovely restaurants and shops.

Struttura splendida, molto curata e pulita, atmosfera accogliente e confortevole. Lo staff รจ molto cortese e premuroso. Fantastica la colazione alla carta inclusa nel prezzo, servita nella bella sala con vista giardino e camino acceso. Anche le camere e i bagni sono ben curati e puliti

L'hotel รจ costituito da piรน strutture separate, se non si รจ in quella principale bisogna uscire all'esterno e percorrere un certo tratto per recarsi alla reception e alla sala colazioni. Il rumore del traffico stradale puรฒ essere fastidioso.

"Unkind and Inflexible โ€” A Truly Disappointing Experience"

My husband and I booked a one-night stay at this Inn, hoping for a relaxing getaway in the Berkshires after an incredibly stressful few months. Just two days before our trip, our hot water tank burst and flooded our utility room. I contacted the Inn right away to explain and politely asked to move our stay by one day โ€” from Monday to Tuesday. Even though our room (and many others) were still available, they refused to adjust our reservation, citing a โ€œnon-refundableโ€ policy. I explained that weโ€™d already been displaced for two months earlier this year due to a burst pipe under our foundation โ€” this trip was meant to be our first small break. Their unwillingness to show even a hint of compassion or flexibility was shocking. Instead of changing the date, they kept our payment and told us weโ€™d have to pay again for the following night. Itโ€™s hard to believe a hospitality business would choose policy over people in such a simple situation. Sadly, this experience left us feeling unwelcome and deeply disappointed. We wonโ€™t be returning, and I would encourage others to think carefully before booking.
