Highfield Park

The staff are very polite and accommodating. The grounds are lovely.

We missed the coffee machines from the room we stayed in previously! However, we understand that there was a wedding on too. No lamp.

The building is beautiful, with a very pleasant reception area, lounge and dining rooms. Staff were helpful and very efficient. The hotel cat was endearing. Although my room was smaller than an average hotel room, it had all the necessary facilities and a comfortable bed. We had drinks in the bar, and breakfast in the dining room. Cannot fault anything.

Lack of headroom in my bedroom , but I am not tall, so it was not an issue for me.

The hot water in my room was scalding and I burnt my elbow in the shower as the tap was so hot The coffee/ tea tray was not great

I would have left a 10 except the morning receptionist was slightly officious.
