Lord Nelson Liverpool by Compass Hospitality

When arriving we were told that the WiFi and card machine was broken and would be fixed later that day. We were asked if we could pay when leaving but when leaving we were told we needed to pay in cash.

This is a good place to stay if you’re in town for a few days and just need a place to eat and shower. The staff were extremely nice and pleasant. The included breakfast was a nice benefit and included a decent amount of items. The room was fine, nothing special but had what you needed. My only issue was the wifi was down for the first night I was there, which they told me immediately and is not a big deal, as outages happen. But the second night when the wifi was restored it still didn’t work in my room and I was told it was because of where my room is located. Every room should have access to wifi. Other than that, it was a good stay and well worth the price.

For the price its a good hotel to stay in for the location. It’s rather run down though and would not recommend for families or a long stay. Staff are friendly and there’s a free ‘continental’ breakfast provided. Due to the location it’s very loud throughout the night, but if you’re going to Liverpool for a night out and travelling via lime street then this hotel is perfect as it’s so cheap compared to others.

Handy hotel, well placed for city centre.

We stayed here for 1 night anout 6 weeks ago and again on Friday, the receptionist remembered us which was a nice touch. The room was good, the bathroom was really nice ( we couldn't get the water hot BUT the staff sorted it out in about 10 minutes). Would stay there again without any hesitation.

What a lovely little hotel, friendly staff, clean room nice breakfast what more could you ask?? Tucked away near Liverpool Lime Street with only a 25 minute walk to the centre perfect location. Both my children said they would stay again and that speaks volumes as to how comfortable we were made to feel. Thanks for a lovely stay.

In a good position. Staff friendly. Complimentary breakfast good. The hotel itself is very tired and dated and is ineed of refurbishment.

Absolutely brilliant budget hotel. Excellent city centre location, excellent friendly staff and accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Excellent nights sleep on both nights of my stay. Can't praise this hotel enough and people who complain about it must not realise what budget accommodation means. 10/10 for the Lord Nelson Hotel. Well done to all involved. PS I stayed for the liverpool match and the 917 bus to the stadium leaves on commutation Row which is 2 mins walk from the hotel!!

On the whole it was excellent. The only issue I had was that the lift was out of order and I was on the third floor! The main light in the bathroom didn’t work either but I just used the other one and informed them when I left. Staff were lovely and very friendly - bed was comfy. The shower spews molten lava and was great! The walls are thin and the other guests may not consider that, but that’s just one of those things. I would definitely stay here again
