Lord Nelson Liverpool by Compass Hospitality

This hotel is clean and and comfortable we stay here every time we visited Liverpool which is quite a lot. If your looking for opulence , and uninformed mechanical staff , ' then it's not for you ' however if like me and my partner you are looking for a warm friendly welcome and a clean and cheaply priced stay , then we can't get much better Linda ( manager ) and her husband Steve,as well as their son Christian and his wife Molly and daughter Grace are a a beautiful family. They go out of their way to look after you and , are there for you throughout your stay Jean and her housekeeping staff are an absolute pleasure to meet and keep your room immaculate. The building itself is old and has ongoing repairs, but for the price you pay and the warm friendly reception that these beautiful people give you I for one would not stay anywhere else while visiting Liverpool Another big plus is the fact that it is located just behind lime Street railway station and is only a few steps away from the empire theatre , and right in the city centre

Stayed in the Lord Nelson for 3 nights, it's not the Ritz but the value for money was excellent and was exactly what we needed as we were over for a party. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely book again on our next trip over

Hotel staff are so lovely They can’t do enough for you and very accommodating with a child. The hotel is very clean and you have everything you need including iron and ironing board but the building itself is tired and requires upgrading Very central location by lime street station and shops Good price and lovely continental breakfast. Nothing is too much the staff are lovely and kind and on hand at all times

Our room clearly hadn’t been cleaned as there was lots of dust. There was also broken glass and an unopened packet of tablets. The window wouldn’t stay open so the room was quite warm. Also the sink plug was also broken. The light by the bed & the one by the sink were both not working.

The location was really great as I had to catch an early morning train from Lime Street station.

Overall an alright hotel. I stayed overnight in a double room which was spacious enough for myself but for 2 people it's a little cramped, but if you're going out and not in the room much then you'd be fine. There were a few ammenties in the room should as kettle, teabags, coffee, shampoo etc which was nice. The bathroom was a little grubby and run down but not too bad overall. It was a little noisy in the night as the door is right at the end of the bed and guests outside were coming and going so my sleep was broken. The staff there were all friendly and helpful which was nice. I had no issues with the wifi either and was able to connect quite easily. The location of the hotel is ideal as it was a 5 minute walk from Lime Street Station and around the corner from the O2 Academy which was the main reason I stayed.
