Citrus Hotel Eastbourne by Compass Hospitality

A great value hotel. We had a lovely spacious room with a sea view for a much cheaper price than other hotels. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but delicious with lots of continental options. Great location on Eastbournes seafront with everything we wanted to see and do in walking distance. Staff were friendly & welcoming.

Some of the decor is dated but they are in the process of decorating the rooms. Ours was freshly decorated but had finished later than expected so we had to check in late and the cleaning had been rushed because of this.

Staff where very friendly and polite nothing to much trouble

The location close to seafront and a quiet area the staff dealt with a room problem efficiently

The bathroom needs updating and the lift buttons need replacing

Overdue redecoration very tired looking interior staff were friendly when you could find one poor receptionist trying to run both reception and breakfast dining in different areas hotel has potential just needs an upgrade

Beach front, was beautiful to walk over to the beach early with the dog and enjoy the waves and peace. There is always a French bistro opposite that is amazing 👏 with stunning views. Beds were comfortable and clean alongside clean towels and toiletries.

Lower ground floor we heard lots of creaking from upstairs. Wasn't overly clean and the lift was not very desirable as it has buttons missing so you have to stick your finger into the inside of it.... bit dodgy. Also, not too sure you could get a wheelchair in there, and you have to go up stairs to get to reception, so wouldnt say wheelchair friendly.
