City Hotel Mercator

The hotel is in a pretty convenient place for getting places, as it’s pretty close to a transit stop. No A/C in my room and the road noise was too loud to keep the window open, but did get a small (though also loud) floor fan when I asked.

The property was clean and tidy. Nothing special or spectacular but had all the necessary amenities. The 10€ breakfast was worth the price as it was plentiful and quality. Room service was Adequate and prompt. Overall, a good experience at a Bargain price.

This hotel has small but clean rooms and is in a good location. It's an easy walk to the Innenstadt area and the river (approx. 25-30 minutes), and about 10-15 minutes walk to the Merianplatz area with cafes and restaurants. There's a Rewe supermarket around the corner to get supplies and there are 2 U-stations also within walking distance. Friendly staff. It's a little small for families but perfect for business/solo travelers and couples.Would stay here again.

First looks are not impressive, the Mercator is the ugliest building in its street, but do not be put off. The hotel is in a quiet area, with only a little noise from the odd passing car, so light sleepers will appreciate. Very much a three star hotel with little pretension to be anything else, but unlike many 4 star hotels, it has a homely feel. Very convenient for the charming and equally homely Berger Strasse area and not too far from City centre, which is walkable for anyone who is fit.

Easy walk from tram #12 or even Konstablerwache Station if you wanted. The reception staff was able to help us in English, the rooms are clean and have ample room. There is a really good restaurant across the street for pizza and a drink. Highly recommend that too. Overall, a great stay with easy access to the entire city.

Hotel was fine, not the most modern, but no problem. Quite a nice area. Easy enough to walk to the city centre. A couple of restaurants within a minutes walk also. There was a tram and a tube stop about 2 mins walk also. We are a family of 3, there wasn't that much space in ouf room, but if wasn't a problem. We would stay again.

Location is great very near from zeil street and most of Frankfurt attraction. The room was small and staff wasn’t friendly

This is my 3rd year to stay at City Hotel Mercator. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, quiet, well located and have all the amenities I need or want
