Excellence Playa Mujeres - Adults Only All Inclusive

We had a great stay and the whole staff went above and beyond. We particularly appreciated Lucy’s service by the pool. She was kind and attentive and gave great recommendations for all of us.

We came with friends to celebrate anniversary and birthdays. The staff at Excellence was incredible. Lucy, Leslie, Diante, Brandon, Daniel, and so many more were attentive and helpful. They went above and beyond to care for us. The entertainment (especially Claudia!) was quality (though a bit risqué one night). The food and drink was outstanding and everywhere has at least one item that stood out. Agave is the gem, though. Aroma has outstanding coffee and ice cream—it was delightful. The fitness center (yep, I used it) had quality cardio equipment. The grounds are immaculate and the housekeeping is frequent and quality. This place was paradise.

Josue at the concierge was such a delight. Wonderful and friendly service. Perfect time of year for a tropical getaway.

The staff was so nice and helpful! Josue and Fernando at the beach took care of our girls group! Drinks, food, chairs, towels were all ready and available. They were friendly and helpful and made our trip such a paradise!

Hot tubs= not hot or even warm. Weather was cold so wanted something to warn us up. No go Room A/C would not turn off and we froze each night. Room phone did not work and had to ask twice to fix. Missed out on room service half the trip. Food looks better than it tastes, but not bad. Not restaurant quality more equivalent to cruise food. Staff is outstanding. Grounds are beautiful. Resort is well maintained.

My wife and I are Excellence Club members. This was our first time at the Playa Mujeres in Cancun. The trip from the airport takes about 45 minutes. I highly recommend paying up front for the Seasons transportation. Check in was seamless and since we are Club members, very personalized. We booked a rooftop suite with the private plunge pool in building 7. This building has a nice ocean view if you select it, and its own private heated pool for Club members. Building 8 has the same set up, but also has a well staffed bar. Our room was VERY clean and well supplied with 4 bottles of name brand spirits and a mini fridge that was well stocked. The staff at this resort is at the very top of our well traveled list. Always smiling, very attentive and they constantly asking if there is something they can do for you. If you have a concern or an issue, they are extremely quick to resolve it. The restaurant choices are very good, there is only a breakfast buffet, which is nice. Most resort lunch and dinner buffets are poor quality. This resorts provides multiple lunch options with well portioned food choices and obviously as much as you want. Now the average stuff. The nightly entertainment is medium quality for a resort in this price range. They use the same traveling show options as other resorts in the area so they don't provide a higher level of adults only feel. The shows are definitely set up to 'please all' so they come off as family friendly. In room TV is limited as usual for Mexico resorts. They do have HBO and a few news channels, you'll have to use the SAP function in reverse to get them in English. If you are a steak snob or know how to cook an excellent steak yourself, don't order steak here. I well keep this nice, but the cuts are poor and the chefs DO NOT know how to cook a proper steak. All the other food we tried was VERY good. Now, the take it for what it worth stuff. The salt and pepper shakers are laughable, tiny holes that are endlessly clogged. Just pull the rubber plunger out of the bottom and cover the hole with your thumb. Otherwise you'll look like a dork shaking the crap out of it for nothing. The toilets are almost laughable in their design. I will keep this as nice as possible, if you like seeing what you deposited stuck to the back of the bowl even after you've flushed, you're gonna have a great time. Overall this is a great resort with a wonderful staff and pleasant experience. We recommend it.

The food, drinks, and staff were all amazing. The Grill needed sharper steak knives (it was very difficult to cut through our steaks). Spice was our favorite restaurant! The beach was beautiful and private only to the other resorts. There were many advertised "hot tubs," however they were not even warm. We like to go to bed early and get up early, so did not participate in the nightlife. We stayed in building 7; the music was so loud it was difficult to fall asleep. The room also had weird motion sensored lights. When my husband got up in the middle of the night, the bathroom light would go on automatically. We talked to the front desk, took there suggestion to turn the "zzz" button on, but the light still went on.

This is our new favorite vaca destination. Everything from the service, atmosphere, great food and drinks and size of resort was perfect.

We are just finishing our vacation at Excellence Playa Mujeres. Everything was absolutely incredible. The resort was beautiful, the food was delicious, but all the staff at the resort went above and beyond. A few standouts for us were Roman (our server at the pool), Carlos (the host at The Grill), Reyes ( our server at The Grill), the manager at The Grill, Rubi ( front desk), Benjamin (server at Oregano), Sergio (server at Basmati), Antonio (server at The Lobster House) and Emiliano (server at the pool). Thank you everyone for making our stay so memorable!

We came back to EPM after staying here in 2014 for our honeymoon. My husband and I are celebrating our 40th birthdays. Edgar and Isabel have made this wonderful day in the sun sooo memorable! The spa, hospitality and property is execellent!
