Bed was comfortable. Room clean. Food was good but pricey. Some staff excellent.

Room OK but fittings very tired and not maintained. The restaurant setting is more like a canteen/bistro. Some staff curt and forgetful.

Beautiful setting. The hotel was very nice, clean, comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely.

Good location

The room had no sound insulation so when people were talking in the corridor it sounded like they were in the room with you. The shower was little more than a dribble. The temperature valve on the radiator was broken so the radiator was full on hot all the time. The bathroom sink sprayed water at you instead of into the sink. The breakfast was poor. A cold full English with solid fried eggs. When we mentioned to staff about the noisy room we were told that we were in the new extension which "hadn't been built as well and had no sound insulation". No apology etc. We were advised to book a room in the old part of the hotel in future. We had booked a superior double room and at £164 for over night it was the worst value for money we've ever had anywhere

They listened to customer requests, adapted and satisfied my requests. They went above and beyond.

Attractive country building set in a park environment. Nice and quiet.

In need of some redecoration, as rough at the edges, and the interior decor quality/design doesn't quite live up to the exterior. Would recommend a larger than standard room, as the space next to the bed was 'minimal'. Common with many hotels, the TV doesn't show the standard Freeview programme set, but a strange subset, with an adult stations section fairly high up the order!

I was there for a family funeral and staff were very attentive all the time. Great house and grounds with plenty of USB access point sin the room.

The only slight complaint was the evening meal on the Monday was mediocre. The gardens leading out the back to the park are not well maintained - it is a great area and should be looke dafter.
