Every morning they were out of breakfast and refused to fix or offer more stating it was against the rules to make more and end up wasting it so many guest went without. I think that is absurd. They would not put out more milk, yogurts, or cereal. Refused to make more eggs and potatoes. Hospitality 101 should be the highest priority and this was not at 9:50am when breakfast is nearly over at 10. This was 8-8:30am. Also when we arrived, I appreciate clean linens, but they were still damp, our sheets and pillow cases seemed like they weren't fully dried, and the air conditioning unit leaked so the floor was sopping wet, the room had a musty smell and dampness in the entire room

Not a pleasant place to stay. Moldy smell in halls and room. Left after an hour and found another hotel to stay.

experience from a recent stay at Hampton inn Jacksonville I-295 I arrived late on 8/29/2025 after a phone call around 5 or 6 PM to inform the front desk of my late check-in. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a staff member named Faith. Unfortunately, the check-in process was far from smooth. I encountered repeated issues with room keys, requiring multiple trips back to the front desk. The first two rooms I was assigned had non-functioning key cards. When I finally reached a functional room, it was noticeably dirty, with unmade beds and trash present. The last room we were assigned to smelled strongly of mildew and had a leaky air conditioning unit. Throughout these issues, I felt the staff member, Faith, was unhelpful and displayed a lack of empathy or apologies for the inconvenience. Her comments, such as expressing eagerness for her shift to end, only added to the frustration. The overall condition of the hotel was disappointing. I observed a pervasive musky smell on multiple floors, and the cleanliness of the rooms was not up to the standards I expect from Hampton Inn. Due to these issues, I will not be recommending this hotel and will likely reconsider staying at Hampton properties in the future. I would appreciate it if you would look into these issues and address them.

The fire alarms went off all night for 2 nights and staff had no answer as to why or when they would be fixed. The door to enter was hard to enter and had to be physically forced open. Staff came up and said we have some doors like that. No offer of a new room. Bed side lamps completely rusted. The cost of the snacks was outrageous.

I don't think I'll stay there again by choice. After giving us the keys, front desk agent informed us the hallway for our floor is warm because they are fixing the A/C but the rooms are air conditioned. That hallway smelled really musty and still did inside the room. We also didn’t have cold water so brushing my teeth and taking a shower was borderline painful. I reported this the next morning when we left hotel and they said they'll have maintenance check it out. We were gone all day and came back with no cold water still. Only after i texted hotel did they send someone up at 9pm! I don't know when service at Hamptons started plummeting but I will twice about booking here again. I might as well stay at Motel 6.

The location it was close to where I had to visit.

On the 5th floor had a musty meldow smell and the rooms smelled the same. No matter what I sprayed it still didn't mask the odor. The drain in the sink or tub keep standing water in them. The floor under the sink and the shower had hair on it like the room was clean properly. Oh nothing for breakfast but waffles. I did ask the staff in the kitchen and she said that's all they had and the orange juice was out of order. My family have stayed in plenty of times at different Hampton Inn but this was by far was the worst.

Hampton has just lost our business, and anyone who asks us about Hampton. We had to change rooms twice and then leave after the first night. The first room was damp, and the rug was wet from an AC leak. The hallway's AC was broken, and we were not informed about any issues the hotel was experiencing. After moving to another room, the fire alarm rang starting at 11 pm for 20-30 minutes, and continued to sound off every two hours. The staff said at the first alarm that it was a test, which was a lie. The alarms were random and continued to go off because the heat in the hallways was triggering the alarm so that any room could have this issue. IT WAS UNINHABITABLE. They tried to make us pay for the whole week we reserved, then, after finally refunding us, they charged us for (they said one night), the first night. A night that we did not sleep and the alarm woke us every two hours. They then charged us for THREE nights. When we called, they said they had accounting system issues. WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REFUND. THE MANAGEMENT WAS RUDE AND REFUSED TO ADMIT ANY WRONGDOING. How can the hotel even justify renting rooms in such condition? We are working with a corporation now and are still getting the run around.
