"A Pathetic Excuse for a Hotel"

2.0

Where do I start! Apartments ours was 1 bedroom 3 rooms. Kitchen: dirty crockery, plates and saucers stuck together with? and tatty pots and pans, rusty fridge missing ice box door and the fridge door was hard to close : broken toaster cracked, and unsafe. Bathroom: thick scruffy filler? Around the toilet and bath, worn out towels. Bedroom: large and clean but sheets stained in places including blood and one sheet had a hole. Lounge! A three seater sided that when you sat in it you went through it and couldn’t get out it also had a cigarette hole in it. ! The small sofa was ok but I sat on the bed in the lounge and used that to read. And there is a small TV no remote you have to get one from reception they don’t trust guests with them? On day three I went t to change my swimsuit late morning and the bed in the Lounge had been taken away. We had to fight to get it back including ringing Jet2. They tried to replace it with a smelly stained mattress but we again had to argue to get a new safe one. Food menus look great; we decided to pay for dinner, however, the food is barely warm so I stuck to bread and salad but we gave up eating there after 3 nights. General maintenance! The carpeted ramp on the way to our apartment wasn’t thread bare it was “shredded bare!” Crumbling external walls and ceiling added to the look of pure neglect. For those of a certain age think “Carry on Aboard!!! ” the hotel was sending people away due, to its serial overbooking Jet2 know about it and it’s happening all the time. Jet2 should be ashamed. It’s a hard watch witnessing the trauma of guests being farmed out for days on end. Not because they are missing out on anything but the shock of arriving and being told there is no room. The outside maintenance around the pool and stairs down to the beach is Very Dangerous! Crumbling steps and no rail. We have heard several guests ( and many had walking sticks) had fallen. Most people arrive late at night, as such leave during the evening. We wanted to extend our room for 5 hours @ €90 but sadly the hotel was fully booked. Disappointing but not unusual. The most shocking news was that this establishment does not provide guests with a courtesy shower room. You have to shower and wash and shampoo your hair under the pool showers in full view of hotel guests. But even more worrying was the fact that this establishment does not provide guests with a safe locked luggage room, absolutely disgusting. You have to go downstairs away from the manned reception and put the cases under the stairs alongside life size plastic models of “ Mary, Joseph and a donkey” ( to be honest the models should be in reception to give some comfort to the guests who are told there is no room for them!) I could go on and on we booked this place as it had a nice location in Coral Bay. The owners abuse that fact and treat all guests with contempt. Please trust me when I say. DONT GO!

"Charmtique Hotel"

10.0

Although the rooms may have furniture & fittings which are not of today's modern standards, it really doesn't matter as the rooms are very spacious, very clean and have everything you need for your stay whether that is for self catering, using the various board options on offer, or dine "Pay as You Go". We had a studio limited Sea View Room on the third floor, the room was on the side of the hotel & we had had a full view of the sea albeit from the side, A very large balcony with table & chairs, a spacious main bedroom with a huge bed, wardrobes etc., bathroom with shower, a second room with two single beds, table & chairs, a settee, wardrobes & a full kitchen area. I would describe the hotel in one word as Charming! It's in a great location on Corallia Beach, the bus stop to Coral Bay Avenue, Paphos & beyond are just two hundred yards from the hotel reception, buses every 10 to 15 minutes. Ample parking if you use a car. A good modern supermarket about 400 yards away. You can easily stroll up to Coral Bay Avenue restaurants & bars in 5 to 15 minutes. There are only 94 rooms which for such a large hotel ensures there is always lots of space around the pool area, the gardens, the bar & the restaurants too. The pool & garden area is a good size & spacious with plenty of sun beds and outdoor tables & chairs available. Along with a children's play area with swings etc. and a separate kiddie pool area next to the main pool. Again, the bar area offers lots of tables/seating both indoor & out. The restaurants too are also very spacious, so nowhere ever gets over crowded. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but did have lunch a few times and evening meal five times. We found the food choice really good at lunch times and the evening meal buffet is excellent and great value with a great choice of quality foods, four courses & more if you want it. Lots of great staff to help you. The Sunday "Lunch" was served at 7:00pm as the evening meal and the food on offer was exceptionally good with a choice of Lamb, Beef, Pork, Turkey, Roast Potatoes, selection of vegetables & all the sides you need. Vegetarion options too if that's your choice. The hotel also welcomes non-residents into the restaurants & bars at all times of the day, so invite your friends & family along. What really makes the Corallia Beach stand out above everything else are the staff. Every member of their team is well trained, efficient, courteous, friendly, very helpful and go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. I can't praise them enough. From the reception to the bar, from the room cleaners to the restaurant staff, every one of them were very, very good. If you venture on to the beach, Marios (Super Marios) always greets you with a smile, a pleasant greeting and will help you to find/move extra sun beds if you need them. The General Manager, Anthi, runs a great team of people and a very efficient and charming hotel.

"Dont Waste Your Money!"

2.0

Avoid Corallia Beach Hotel at all costs. We booked a year in advance, yet when we arrived at 3am after long flight delays and chaos at Paphos airport, we were told there was no room for us. Reception staff didn’t apologise, didn’t care, and instead offered us nothing more than a glass of lemonade. Luckily, we had family staying who had arrived earlier that day and allowed us to sleep in their room — otherwise, we would have been shipped off 4 miles away. This wasn’t an isolated issue either. During our stay, we saw several other guests being told the same thing and sent to “sister hotels,” which I heard were in an even worse state. The fact that JET2 allow their name to be attached to this place is beyond me. The rooms themselves are stuck in the past and completely unacceptable. Our bathroom had no ceiling, meaning we could hear exactly what the neighbours above were doing, including what they had for dinner. The shower swung violently between freezing cold and scalding hot, and the air conditioning unit stank of rotting fish until maintenance finally came to fix it. These aren’t small inconveniences — they made the room uncomfortable and unpleasant to stay in. The hotel amenities are just as bad. The so-called “shop” is extortionate and barely stocks anything useful. We paid €12 for a simple bucket and spade at the local supermarket, only to find the exact same bucket taken from our room after we checked out and placed in the shop for €24. The food was no better — it looked as tired, dated, and unappetising as the hotel itself. I would strongly recommend avoiding eating here altogether. The only positive about this hotel is the beach — and that’s because the hotel has absolutely nothing to do with it. The beach is lovely, with a fantastic bus service running from the car park straight into Coral Bay strip and Paphos. The beach staff who manage the sunbeds are everything the hotel staff are not: friendly and welcoming. The sunbeds are also very reasonably priced at just €2.50 for the day. Coral Bay itself is wonderful and I will definitely return, but I will never set foot in this hotel again. Between the disorganisation, the outdated facilities, and the complete lack of care from staff, Corallia Beach Hotel is a place to avoid.

Lage

"Avoid this hotel at all costs!!"

2.0

On arrival at this hotel late at night from a delayed flight we checked in filling out the necessary paperwork etc thinking next we would be shown our room only to be told that there was a technical problem with the room and that we would have to spend 2 nights at their sister hotel 5 mins down the road! The reception staff were not apologetic had no sympathy they were absolutely awful. This apparently we found out has happened to another 14 couples and families clearly no problem with the rooms just they've obviously Double booked people! On arrival at the other hotel it was absolutely awful dirty horrible basic room nothing like we had booked for our stay. So we had to spend 2 nights there before we got to check in to our hotel. The hotel is very dated basic and not worth staying in the only good thing about it is the location cause the beach is stunning!

"Tired & Dated hotel"

4.0

Hotel is know for its location, close to sandy beach for sea swim or it’s own pool. We arrived late at night with a welcome lemon juice. Told that as we missed evening meal a plate of food had been prepared and left in our apt fridge. Very thoughtful but without a microwave not edible. We had fortunately upgraded to 2 room apt as we had read reviews that Sofa beds not comfortable as we were 3 adults. The main bedroom only had one elec socket but having read review tips brought an extension cable. The 2nd kitchen dinette room had a single bed with sofa bed. Dinette consisted, sink/drainer, Elec cooker, kettle, fridge, toaster and couple of units with varying cutlery for 3, plates, cups & saucers with assortment of culinary implements. The cooker has seen better days not to mention the old units. Beds were reasonable comfy but can’t leave to noisy ducted air-con on at night unless you are a heavy sleeper or bring earplugs. There is an old ‘radio’ in the headboard probably not worked for years! Our balcony overlooks the dinning room/restaurant but ignore that we have a sea view. The hotel appears to cater for the middle aged to retirees. Don’t expect entertainment but you can hear it from the Coral Beach resort. The bathroom is functional with shower over old bath (lost its enamelling long ago. Very narrow, you wouldn’t want to bath in it. The sink has no plug so difficult for a wet shave but has elec shaver point. The sink & bath have been resealed several times. Cyprus in drought & a notice requests save water but no short economy flush. On the positive side the staff are friendly and helpful where they can. The food, breakfast & evening buffet are good with themed evenings, Italian, Cypriot, BBQ. Local bus from adjacent car park. The Hotel has a reasonable pool with sufficient sun beds for Sept but not so sure high season. Overall it looks tired and rundown as rendering over balcony shows rusting metal bars. Furniture & fittings are old and the Hotel needs investment, upgrading & brought into the 21st Century. Wi-fi is only available in reception or bar. The ‘shop’ is 24/7 but only on request. Safe in bedroom is 30 euros for week.

"No privacy"

2.0

No privacy!! Thin Door between two apartments!! You could hear everything from next door talking quietly, phone alarms going off early in the morning as well as next door going to the toilet. This is thanks to being placed in a room that had a thin dividing door between our apartment and next door. You could see every time they turned on the light from under the door. We had to whisper when in the apartment as to not disturb next door. The door between the apartments was locked but it was unnerving when new guests arrived and began trying the door handle when we were trying to sleep. When I complained to the hotel, they could not care less and just said that the hotel was full. Ruined our holiday. This room is designed for large family groups needing separate rooms, not couples. This should not happen and we should not have had to put up with this. We made the best of it but we will not be returning. Shame because everything else was fine and I can accept a dated room.

"Poor holiday experience"

2.0

We recently stayed at the hotel, our experience was poor from the start. On arrival after 1pm after flight and Pathos Airport delays we were told there was no room, we would have to stay at a sister hotel 4 miles away for 2 nights. The room had no self catering facilities or the sea view we had booked, also had a mosquito problem. On Friday morning we returned together with 2 mini buses full of people who had the same experience. We subsequently found out more people had been effected sent to other hotels, problem was a reoccurring issue at the hotel. The Hotel staff wouldn’t apologise, Management response was we are giving you a sea view to recompense you which is what we had booked anyway. The sea view is amazing, however the hotel is not maintained, looks and feels dated, internet only in reception, cleaning staff good and friendly, 24 hour shop you have to ask reception to open up for you. Bus service regular from car park to main strip where plenty of good restaurants and bars, we ate two evening meals in restaurant which were good. This is not a hotel I would return to.

"Overall, it’s a very good value for a 3-star hotel."

9.0

Perfect location right on one of the best beaches in Cyprus, with a bus stop conveniently nearby. The hotel is a bit outdated, but it has its own charm. Rooms are spacious with outstanding views. Note that shampoo and shower gel are not provided—only soap. Power sockets are type G (UK style), so bring the right adapter. The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a family-oriented hotel, mostly visited by guests from the UK. Location is calm and peaceful with no parties, discos, or noise nearby. Breakfasts and dinners are good and served with a beautiful sea view. I recommend buying them on site (breakfast €8, dinner €17). However, the choice is quite limited for those who don’t eat meat.

Location spot on for the beach which we loved. long walk to restaurants and pubs or get the 615 bus 2euros it stops in car park outside hotel. Hotel is very run down and needs LOTS of TLC Breakfast poor don’t bother, legends bar is at the top of the road they do a good breakfast choice and is busy day and night To get to the beach you have to walk through breakfast then bar/ dinner hall down a ramp very long winded, staff are miserable everything seems an effort reception being the worse asked for clean towels on checkout day to be told to use the ones from our rooms which were 3 days old by then. But the cleaning ladies would smile and say hello everyday Maria is a credit to your hotel staff could learn a lesson from her. We had booked to come back next year but rang jet2 and cancelled . My sons came out 7 days later with their partners only to be told one room wasn’t ready and would have to share or move to another hotel until room was ready this was 3am no apology nothing , has the holiday went on this became the norm for a lot off holiday makers ruining the start of peoples holidays
