The Opera Hotel is in a relatively central location in the city and within easy walking distance of many sights. So from a location standpoint, it is great. Unfortunately, it's a somewhat dated hotel. The rooms are furnished to an 1990s standard and more akin to a 3-star than a 5-star hotel. Old furniture, small TV set, relatively small room with small windows. It really needs a full renovation. It was only ~ $100 a night, so an ok value-for-money.

We chose this hotel for our recent stay in Kyiv based on prior guest comments. We honestly feel that the hotel is even better than we anticipated. Rooms are large and quite comfortable. The staff know their roles and perform to high standards. The restaurant is exceptional. We highly recommend the Opera Hotel in Kyiv.
