Would you believe a UK hotel unable to provide marmalade for breakfast, two days running.. Apart from that it was very good.

There were no visible public toilets downstairs near the bar and restaurant. There was a lack of information about meals and pricing.

The facilities were excellent, and the spa, although small, was uncrowded, very clean and relaxing. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, and the hotel itself is in a lovely, peaceful location that made our stay feel especially relaxing. The staff were warm, professional and attentive throughout, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. A particularly thoughtful touch was the gift bag with food and drinks for our journey when we left, which we really appreciated. Overall, it felt like a truly high-quality experience. We would happily return and have already recommended the hotel to friends.

The hotel is beautifully situated, with several walking routes possible though the surrounding countryside. It is extremely comfortable and the rooms are of a high standard. The staff are every helpful and friendly and breakfast is excellent.

It was a very hot day and we struggled to cool the room down.

The hotel is very peaceful and grand, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend away and our classic room was very spacious and comfortable. Food including bar menu and breakfast were delicious, and they gave us a goody bag of snacks upon check out which was a nice touch. The spa was very calming and we enjoyed the facilities (pool, hot tub, sauna). Everywhere was very clean and there were plenty of towels available and well equipped locker rooms including bags for wet costumes etc.
