"Splendid place to relax and unwind and be well looked after"

The big plus is the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. They remembered room numbers,and likes and dislikes, and were all prepared to chat but were totally professional throughout. The food and cooking is excellent. The drawing room was comfortable on a wet afternoon. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed and tranquil but it was also very, very efficient

The restaurant menu did not change, which was a bit limiting as we didn’t want to travel out in the evening to eat, but the bar menu was good and a bit different. Space near the spa to relax in the sun would have been welcome.
