Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo

Disappointed not a 5 star hotel rather a 3 star. Old. Mold and weeds growing outside my window.No coffee shop or venue to have a light breakfast - room service. The room service was fast. Service near the pool was bad- waiters standing around. Not much soap for the shower. Have to ask for a robe. The shower is in the bathtub which is quite high and is difficult to enter. You have to be an acrobat to manage safely.Will see how the Christmas Buffet is. 5 stars is the Beau Rivage Lausanne,Peninsula HK, Shangra. Ok ,just finished the buffet $90 for two plus drinks. The food quality and preparation was very good. Hats off to the chef. But first the tables are separated from the buffet by a distance. Also, the room where the food is located has one door for entrance and exit and it's only a meter wide. For a couple of hundred people,you can imagine. Many of the dishes were cold so not pleasant. Next the people at the carving stations didn't know how to carve. One was trying to carve a turkey with no meat on it.The desert room was a plaudit to the pastry chef. Nicely presented. Only the Christmas log,which was excellent, should be served as the patrons destroyed it with spoons.

Their attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care made the moment truly special and unforgettable. From the thoughtful setup to their friendly and professional service, everything was perfectly done. It’s team members like them who truly elevate the guest experience. Went for the Festive high last weekend. was very crowded but the staff tried hard to solve all issues. but the food spread which was a very good mix of savory and deserts. food was very delicious, it was very festive which served duck, love cake and other treats

We utterly enjoyed the dinner… kavinda Maddumage gave his best service to us.he made sure that we were comfortable and received the best care..We are looking forward to come again soon

Best hotel and best five star ⭐ cinnamon bar lakeside, very clean restaurant and rooms all so,chef making sandwiches and pastries and sevry very delicious, very excellent always giving mohammed Rizwan,he is good communication and great team worker 👍 me and my family very happy

Awarded two stars as it is bearable, if we had not paid we would have checked out. The premium rooms are anything but. The hotel runs a financial scam whereby they have invented a dynamic conversion concept to increase you bill by 7%. Overall the hotel shows it's age and but for the helpful staff we would have left despite being out of pocket

I attended a Law College batch get-together and dinner held on 22nd November at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, to commemorate 30 years in legal practice, and felt compelled to share an experience that truly stood out. Late into the night, I found myself in a difficult situation. My car had been valet-parked while my personal security officer remained in the vehicle, and my phone battery had completely died. With no way to contact him and several unsuccessful attempts to locate my car within the large premises, I was genuinely stranded. Upon contacting security, a very smartly dressed and calm officer approached me. After listening attentively, he assured me he would assist. Although I had little expectation at that stage, to my absolute surprise, he returned within minutes—with my phone charger in hand. When it became clear that there were no available power outlets inside the event hall, this officer went a step further. He offered to take my phone to the lobby, charge it safely, and return it once sufficiently charged. Despite the phone being extremely valuable to me, his professionalism, demeanour, and genuine conduct inspired complete trust. It was at that moment I asked for his name—Jayalal, the Security Supervisor. True to his word, he returned shortly with my fully charged phone. What struck me most was that this level of assistance went far beyond the scope of his duty. Later, I learned that Jayalal is a former Sri Lanka Air Force officer, which perhaps explained the discipline, integrity, and quiet confidence he carried so naturally. A simple “thank you” felt wholly insufficient. Jayalal’s conduct reflects the highest standards of service and brings immense credit to Cinnamon Lakeside. It is individuals like him who elevate an institution and leave guests with lasting respect and trust. I sincerely hope this appreciation reaches him, as it is both deserved and heartfelt.

Lovely hotel with beautiful river/lakeside location and nice pool. Dining options were amazing, and rooms comfortable and clean. Walkable to sea front snd downtown areas in Colombo. Recommended!

After our 12 fantastic days travelling around Sri Lanka our last stay was at the Cinnamon Lakeside, fantastic hotel. We thought we had some whilst travelling but this is by far the best. Breakfast buffet brilliant, dinner buffet brilliant and not enough time to check out the other restaurants.

Food service and location is excellent our family enjoyed the best holiday in colombo . The week we spent here is worth every $ we spent
