The Inn at Dromoland

This is our 5th golf outing to The Rine. There’s many reasons we keep coming back. Hotel is situated just off a motorway so easy access, especially from Dublin. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and welcoming. The dining room is large, plenty of tables even at busy breakfast times. Breakfast is freshly prepared. Great choices. The porridge is particularly good. Dinner in the dining room is exceptional. Menu caters for everyone. Service is great with Isaac watching over everything. The bar also has a really good menu and is of exceptional standard. It’s lovely to see a ‘proper’ pub in a hotel. It finishes off the night, especially if entertainment is on. But the main reason for returning must be the people. From checking in to leaving, the reception staff, bar and dining room staff and cleaning staff. They simply cannot do enough to make our stay memorable. We’re coming back. 2027 already booked!! That says everything!!!

Have stayed here frequently throughout the years (family of 4) and our kids absolutely adore it here. Our most recent stay was extremely disappointing and totally missed the mark. We found our room a bit cold upon entering but decided the heating will surely start up soon as it was probably on timer etc. When we returned to the room for the night it was absolutely baltic Cold. We rang down to reception to resolve the problem to be told the heating was turned off on that side of the building and they were sending someone to switch it on. In the meantime we were promised a heater to be brought up to the room to heat it up a bit. 30 minutes passed and partner had to go down to reception to see what the story wqs and 2 men I presume the managers came up to check and see was the heating on to which it wasn't and they also promised to come straight back up with a heater to which they never did and never returned. It was nearly 11.30 by the time the rads eventually started to warm for the heating only to be turned off again and hour later. I had 2 kids asleep in bed at this stage so was not ringing down again during the night. We woke up again in the morning to an icebox of a room with no heating on. I don't know are ye trying to save money on oil or what but this was an absolute disgrace with the room being fully paid for and no apology upon leaving or acknowledgement of the lack of basic facility of heat being offered to us. Again small kids in tow. Extremely disappointed with this as we usually come here frequently but will definitely be rethinking after that experience. Not a good look for a newly taken over hotel.

Leisure centre closed for renovation was due to open on the day od departure but unfortunately didnt

Attended McCarthy O Rourke wedding 11/04/26 at table 10. My waiter Luke Donnelly was so friendly, professional, appropriate, well groomed and was able to manage the chats and banter from the table. He was very good at his job. So well done at The Rine Hotel for hiring and training amazing staff.

I was at a wedding we were at the table number 10 the nicest luke were serving us at this table and he was the best ser server of the night .
