"Don’t bother for food"

2.0

The food here was just disgusting. I had a GF burger, burnt, the bun was cold, full of stuff I asked not to include. The chips were soggy too. The staff were nice, but clueless.

Lovely soft play, pool and playground

The service in bar for food was awful and staff member was very rude when asked to accommodate 2 high chairs even when booking was made in advance.

"So much potential, but ultimately missing the mark"

6.0

This hotel has the makings of a first rate family hotel, but misses the mark on so many issues that it starts to irk minutes into your stay. Stepping into this hotel is like stepping back in time, so much so that no amount of repainting or new signage can disguise it. Although marketed as a family hotel, the pool offers little to the visiting family guests over the Easter break. The changing rooms are freezing- albeit the swimming pool area pleasantly warm and showers very good. The crazy golf which is featured as a selling point on their website is so disappointing. The tunnels where the balls must travel through were full of stones, stopping said balls, and the 'greens'were covered in stone chips and clearly not maintained. So ultimately playing was a no go. The staff are friendly and very nice, but the whole stay felt like the hotel needs a manager that has a young family, and therefore might actually know what visiting families require. They ran out of Mi Wadi during our stay, and days later still had none. I was flummoxed at how a manager hadn't perhaps sent someone to a shop to purchase some to tide them over..... it was overall a bizarre experience. I haven't the heart the go into the pallava of dinner in the restaurant, save to say we were seated at 6.30 and our orders taken at 7.10. We were over 2 hours in the restaurant, during which time witnessed a family of four leave due to the wait times. A man I presume to be the manager - glasses, walkie talkie clipped onto his belt - walked around a great deal fannying around with wine bottles but didnt seem to be lowly enough to take orders or deliver food. Fawlty Towers eat your heart out! My 7 year old on the morning we were leaving "I dont ever want to come back here". Says it all really! Perhaps collecting data from leaving guests by way of survey could be informative for managerial and marketing staff??
