Homewood Suites by Hilton Baltimore

I have stayed here 3 times and the first two times were fine, hence the one star (took some time to check in, they are probably understaffed and overworked, and the room carpet seemed and still seems very dirty, they need like a power washer). I do like the kitchen feature and the location to downtown Baltimore. This most recent time was kind of a mess, it not only took a while to check in but also we had a wobbling tv, leaking fridge, one day they didn't have the hot breakfast food out yet and they messed up our reservation. We had a multi night reservation, slept our first night (had to get the tv fixed at 10:30-11:30 pm at night because was wobbling and had to help the gentleman fix and hold the tv-he was very nice but again they seem understaffed), got breakfast, and came back to the room to relax, house keeping came in despite the do not disturb sign because someone checked us out after the one night even though we had several more days on the reservation. We called down to the desk, they transferred us to the Hilton honors line, got disconnected, called the desk again who said we had to come to the desk to resolve the issue. About 15 minutes later someone came to our room asking if we were checking out today and we had to say no again. Another 15 minutes later someone knocked on our door and I asked who it was and no answer and they knocked again and I again asked who is it and no response.

I ekpt getting excuses that my room was not ready. Waited over an hour and a 1/2 for my room when check in was at 3:00pm. The couch has black stains the furniture needs updated and the TVs are super small. You would think by having a suite it would nice...NOT! the shower flooded the bathroom so 8 had to use my towels to clean that up. This place was a just NOT to other Hiltons standards that i have stayed at WHICH are MUCH NICER!

Great price compared to others in the area

my faucet in the kitchen was falling off, bathroom tub wasn’t draining and the couch was covered in stains. my room was also not ready to check in until 5pm and mot even an apology. pretty disappointing

The staff was polite, helpful and friendly. They were personable, chatted with us, suggested some restaurants to visit in the area. But the hotel could use some upgrades and a complete remodel. Things are old, down to the smoke detectors! The carpets are dirty (bring slippers) the couch cushions are stained and worn. We used lots of disinfectant spray and wipes!!! The room just felt a bit grungy! Parking was convenient but not free. Breakfast was great. Good experience overall (but not great).

Furniture in the room was beat and had stains on it

I liked the proximity to the aquarium as we had our young child with us and that a lot was in walkable distance.

We had a room at the end and had a great view of the water. The parking guy and the gentleman in the breakfast room were so helpful, friendly and kind. This hotel had the BEST breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel. Would stay there again just for the breakfast!!

Our stay was amazing. We had a great time. The only issue we had was the shower pressure kept logging in and out.
