Great staff, Mike at the bar and high energy entertainment team saved the day here. Hotel and grounds need some love, tape stuck over broken wooden flooring, old metal frame sunbeds, many are broken so get up early to get the better ones! Location is good, lovely beach with coastline path to walk, or short bus ride into Rhodes old town which is fantastic, spent several days wandering around the medieval streets and palaces. As others have said, the lunchtime fresh pizza oven, wraps and salads are the best quality food so make that your meal for the day. The main restaurant is very dated, old wall tiles and signs from long ago hang over bland food, there was grilled chicken 1 or 2 nights, otherwise trays of 'meat' and lots of sauce to hide/cover recycled veg. Drinks are ok, local beer or gin or rum. The on tap wine is not great but you can buy a bottle from the shop next door if you need your 'glass of red' fix. This hotel could be great, just needs some love.

A really disappointing stay at the end of September. After a rocky year, we were both looking forward to a holiday where we could just switch off and spend time together. We had booked this hotel after using the Melia group several times over the years and had comfort in knowing what we would be getting. Unfortunately, this hotel lacks so much it really lets the brand down. I will start off with saying however that the staff are what is completely outstanding about this place. They are so friendly and helpful, and genuinely could not do enough for you. Now to the main reasons behind my rating. The grounds especially round the pool areas are…interesting. If you’d told me the designer had never been to a pool before I’d have believed you! The walkways around the pool are only wide enough for one row of sunbeds meaning that the rest are on grass - or what used to be grass. Getting in and out of the pool means your feet or shoes are constantly getting muddy. I’ve never seen so many entertainment team, with such a small entertainment schedule. 2 hours around the pool in the morning. Depending on the day a yoga/stretch class by the quiet pool. And then you don’t see them until the evening. I get that at an all inclusive I’ll be charged a for premium spirits or cocktails, but there seems to only be one bartender who knows how to make them, meaning insane queues at the bars. And one time I asked for an iced coffee and was told I’d be charged. But I could have a cup of ice and pour over coffee from the self serve machine myself… this feels confused. And if I’m honest I feel ripped off after the amount we paid to stay here all inclusive. We were only given one bottle of water between two of us on check in and this was not replaced despite our room being cleaned 3 times during our stay. Self serve drinks cups by the pool are about a mouthful of drink at a time, with no ice available. And finally the food. I see this all the time in reviews where people complain that there was nothing they could eat and I would usually put that down to the burger and chips brigade, as we ate both pretty varied eaters and can normally find substantial meals at all inclusive hotels. However this was appalling. A Greek hotel who should be embarrassed about their Greek cuisine. Raw souvlaki, “Tzatziki” which was just soured yoghurt sat out all day, all components to go with dishes in the buffet not together, browned salad leaves, only tinned fruit available. I could go on. The other reviews are correct, the pool bar is the best food you can get, pastas and pizzas are amazing. But I can get amazing pizza and pasta a short walk from where I live and don’t need to spend upwards of £2k and fly 4 hours to get it. Breakfast is probably the one meal that is passable, however the omelette station they have put outside meaning you have to fight the wasps off your selected toppings while you wait. We resorted to eating out after 3 nights of this and subsequently missed out on other activities we wanted to do on the island as we hadn’t budgeted for this. We do recommend Olympias Restaurant and Rodos Garden. Both great offerings and reasonable pricing. In all a disappointing stay, and will probably put us off using Melia hotels and even returning to Rhodes in the future.

A good basic all inclusive hotel! The foods got a little boring after a week but that might be because we are picky😂also there was no comforter in the bed there was just this thin sheet which was too cold but luckily there was two blankets in the closet. But into the good stuff: the pizza from the pool bar was the best we’ve ever had, we had a super sweet and energetic older lady cleaner in our hallway, the staff overall were nice and helpful, there was something entertainment every night and the entertainment team was super, especially Leslie, he was the best!🫶🏻 would recommend this hotel. It was our first visit to the Sol Cosmopolitan Hotel, and definitely not the last. Our friends who stayed here in August recommended this hotel, saying they had an amazing time, so we decided to come too — and we were not disappointed. We’re already thinking about coming again next year together with our friends.

In August, we had an amazing family holiday at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Our two kids enjoyed every minute , the children’s entertainment was brilliant, and they especially loved the pirate ship! The hotel itself is beautiful. Our family room could use a little renovation, but it was spotless and always kept clean by the friendly, smiling maids. All of the staff were wonderful, and a special mention goes to the two boys at the main bar who were absolutely brilliant. As many guests mentioned, there aren’t quite enough sunbeds around the pool, but this wasn’t a big problem as we could always find some at the hotel’s own beach. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, and offered plenty of choice every day. We also took an excursion to Lindos ,such a beautiful place and the medieval Old Town of Rhodes, which was simply amazing. Overall, a fantastic holiday for the whole family. We can’t wait to come back!

2nd stay at sol cosmopolitan. After booking tried to book a superior room but as hotel is full this was unavailable. Hotel did give us a lovely standard room beautiful view of pool & sea room 263. Also gave us wine fruit & birthday cake in room for my husbands birthday & our anniversary which was a lovely touch. Staying 29 sep-10 oct. Hotel is very busy but never an issue getting sun lounger at pool. Standard rooms have been upgraded since our last stay 2 years ago so nicer than anticipated. Rooms have fridge & hairdryer. Hotel is very clean rooms cleaned daily thanks to cleaners who work really hard every day. Food & drink huge selection something for everyone even fussy eaters which I am. The pool bar has great snacks every day which I prefer to main restaurant. Reception staff are lovely friendly and helpful, the man that checked us in was very cheerful. And thanks to security showing us to room. All staff work extremely hard to make this a great hotel. Entertainment what can I say this is what I will miss most when we go home Leslie & team do a fantastic job keeping everyone entertained. Only thing which could improve on would be more outside entertainment ie singer at night as hotel is full with most people sat around playing cards etc so I’d like a bit more entertainment cabaret tribute singers etc. Thank you for a lovely holiday sol cosmopolitan we will be back for 3rd stay.

We had a fantastic stay at the Sol Cosmopolitan Rhodes. From the moment we arrived, the staff made all the difference. Our arrival was far from smooth, with room issues, but thanks to the incredible reception manager Shola , what a lovely person and the helpful Spyros, the problem was quickly resolved. Their kindness turned a stressful moment into something memorable. The hard-working restaurant and waiting staff deserve special mention ,they are truly amazing and made every meal a pleasure. The food was excellent, with a great variety; not all to my taste, but with such an international guest list, that’s to be expected. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming throughout. The hotel is dated in style, certainly with a 90s charm, but the warmth of the people more than makes up for it. It’s just a 2-minute walk to a lovely beach with free sunbeds for guests , a perfect bonus. We can’t fault Sol Cosmopolitan Rhodes for the way they handled everything and ensured we enjoyed our holiday despite a rocky start. A huge thank you to everyone there for making our stay special.

Had a lovely relaxing two weeks here. Hotel clean and rooms comfortable. Staff were super friendly and a special mention has to go to Mike and George in the main bar, Vassilis in the restaurant and Klonita who kept our room clean. Really enjoyed our stay. Had an amazing chilled out holiday.
