The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Phuket

We had such a memorable stay at Naka Island Resort – it really feels like a little world of its own. Being on a private island makes the whole experience special from the very beginning. The boat transfer was smooth and well-organized, and the moment you arrive, you instantly switch into full relaxation mode. The beach is beautiful, quiet, and never crowded, which we absolutely loved. It truly feels exclusive. Getting around the island is easy and even fun thanks to the golf carts available across the territory – super convenient, especially with kids. One of the highlights for us was the breakfast – honestly amazing. Fresh coconut, a glass of prosecco, and a great variety of food to start the day… it felt luxurious. In general, the food across the resort was very good, with plenty of options to choose from. We also really enjoyed the little details and experiences, like the sunset ceremony – such a beautiful moment in the evening. There are also lots of water activities if you want to stay active, or just relax and enjoy the surroundings. For families, the kids club is a big plus – spacious, well-equipped, and engaging. It made a huge difference. What makes this place truly unique is the feeling of being “somewhere else” – like you’re living on a separate island, away from everything. It’s peaceful, special, and very easy to disconnect. Overall, a wonderful stay that we would definitely recommend.

We stayed at The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort, Phuket from February 4 to February 10, 2026, and our experience was absolutely dreamlike from beginning to end. Everything was simply perfect, and we genuinely cannot say a single negative thing about our stay. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and offer plenty of storage space, which made everything feel both luxurious and comfortable. The entire resort has a very special atmosphere, and you immediately feel welcome and cared for. Culinarily, the resort offers a wonderful variety through its different restaurants, and every evening there is a lovely sundowner event at Z Bar, where guests are treated exceptionally well while also being introduced to the beautiful story and history of Naka Island and the dragon. This unique concept adds so much charm to the whole experience and makes the island feel even more magical. We would especially like to highlight the truly outstanding breakfast and the incredible service that comes with it. Without exaggeration, it was the best breakfast we have ever had anywhere in the world. The quality, variety, and attention to detail were simply exceptional. We would also like to emphasize the friendliness and warmth of the entire staff — from the welcome on arrival to the farewell at departure. Every single person was incredibly kind, attentive, and heartfelt. A very special thank you goes to Ms. Cookie and Mr. Bryan, who gave us two wonderful evenings at Aiyara. Their outstanding service made us feel exceptionally comfortable and truly cared for. They were absolutely fantastic. We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and sincerely hope that we will have the opportunity to return to Naka Island one day. Sending all our love and gratitude to the entire team.

We visited for our honeymoon. Thanks to the pleasant environment and the friendly staff, we are resting comfortably. There is a large swimming pool, delicious food, and if you have a baby, there is also a kids' club, so it would be good to use. Thank you to Ploi, the staff in charge of our couple. She always responds with a smile, so we live comfortably and without difficulties. I'll come visit again later.

Perfect place good hospitality

Came for quiet uneventful experience, however things were a little more nuanced than expected, notably,; Positive aspects: • The island and surroundings are beautiful, with resort facilities positioned alongside notable peers in the same class. • The pool villa is exceptionally beautiful and stands as a highlight of the property. • The selection of food and quality is exceptional with wide varieties catering for many different cultures and cuisines Could be better feedback: • The luxury claim feels mystifying due to some major operational shortcomings. • Delays in service are palpable (waiting 30 minutes for a buggy after two calls, waiting 15mins for coffee, no one picking up for baggage claims are just the scratch of surface). General delays for drinks and or asking for things that should be customary at a resort of this standard (i.e. top up water, coffee,). • No turndown service requests despite being away from villa for most of the evening  • Simple requests such as alcoholic beverages before 11am are met with resistance despite 24-hour beverage and breakfast bubbles. On balance was given free orange juice despite feeling a little embarrassed for asking. Strangely a free afternoon tea was given but after I had left for dinner so also felt ill conceived. • The online in room app doesnt align with other offerings for food or drinks (so cannot enjoy and or they miss out on commercial gain) • The evening chef’s greeting (Sat evening at main restaurant) appears selectively extended, with Indian guest either only being communicated too or prioritized (with extended conversations about their mutual home town in India to staying onshore with his wife and extended roles across Thailand and then ignoring the only other guest in the space) • There is a noticeable lack of staff at the sunset experience. They look stressed and a little overwhelmed. That being said they did brilliantly and were super resilient  • This is a family resort, so kids’ screaming and crying are part of the ambience, which may affect those seeking quiet (im not against kids moreso to just be transparent). I can here after a upsetting time in my life so not sure it helped me clear my thoughts. • WiFi is poor, and the ordering/communication system is fragmented, with QR codes dispersed and unusable for chatting with staff (which is the hard part). Final assessment Overall, Naka Island offers a beautiful setting and a standout pool villa, but the experience is severley let down by inconsistent service, unclear luxury positioning, and fragmented guest communications. A calibrated price-to-experience alignment, along with improvements in service reliability and quiet-time options, would help align expectations with reality.

This resort is quite simply the echelon of luxury hotels. Located on the stunning Naka Island, just a five-minute speedboat ride away, The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa feels like a dazzling tropical escape from the moment you arrive. As you’re whisked across the water, the staff take care of all your luggage and greet you warmly upon arrival, escorting you directly to your villa where check-in is completed seamlessly. Golf buggies are readily available to transport guests around the resort, and we never waited more than a few minutes for one. On the way to your villa, the staff share the fascinating local legends of dragons and the story behind how the island got its name — a charming and memorable touch. We stayed in a sea-view pool villa and it was simply exceptional. A beautiful four-poster bed, outdoor shower, outdoor bath, double-sink bathroom, and endless fluffy white towels were just some of the luxurious details. And the private pool — just wow. Looking directly out towards the iconic Phi Phi Islands, the view was absolutely jaw-dropping. In truth, we barely wanted to leave the villa. The main communal pool is also stunning, overlooking the beach and neighbouring islands. The sun loungers set within the water itself are a particularly lovely touch. Several of the resort’s restaurants surround the pool area, creating a picture-perfect setting at every turn. The Thai restaurant was exquisite, but we also thoroughly enjoyed the international restaurant and the Rum Bar. Breakfast was outstanding. There were numerous stations to choose from, along with made-to-order dishes prepared exactly how you like them. Fresh coconuts, eggs Benedict — you name it, they had it. We also took advantage of some of the complimentary activities, which gave us the opportunity to visit the spa. Set within lush tropical surroundings, it felt truly world-class and perfectly in keeping with the resort’s luxurious atmosphere. This resort is staggeringly beautiful, luxurious at every turn, and honestly — if we never had to leave, that would have suited us just fine. And finally, the lovely Z Bar for sunset — along with the daily sunset ceremony — is not to be missed. Unique cocktails, breathtaking views, and the most extraordinary level of service make it the perfect way to end the day

Wonderful experience from start to finish. The warm welcome at the Reception on the mainland was superb. The two representatives made the check in process very quick and easy. Within a few minutes the boat was ready to take us from the port to Naka Island. Our luggage was already onboard and it was only 5 minutes to the resort. We were greeted by João and Joe( both managers for rooms and food respectively) for the welcoming gong ceremony. Our Garden Villa with pool was beautiful and a nice contrast to the ocean villa we had at the previous hotel. It was a really natural setting with relaxing wildlife sounds and birds visiting throughout the day. The staff at the resort are what make holidays special. The room attendants were thorough and always smiling. The breakfast is outstanding and the staff fantastic. Shout out to Jojo who came to chat each morning. We visited the Zbar each night to watch the sunset and listen to live music. Masaya and Payu were truly wonderful and made us feel very special. Always smiling and giving big hugs. They got us up dancing. Even buying us presents on our last night. A memorable stay and I would recommend to anyone.

Amazing stay! Check-in at the Marina was super relaxing where Jojo checked us in and explained all the details for our stay. We enjoyed refreshments while we waited for our speedboat to the island which only took 5 mins! From the moment we stepped off, we were quickly greeted by Nils and the team who welcomed us with refreshments and cold drinks. After ringing the gong to let the “dragon” know we arrived, we were whisked away by our butler, Ploi, to our room with stops along the way to point out places at the resort. Ploi explained every detail and was available to us via whatsapp at anytime. Any request, Ploi was on it! The entire breakfast staff was amazing. Every waiter had eagle eyes checking on every guests body language to quickly respond. My wife briefly rubbed her temples indicating a headache and waiter brought a cold towel to her immediately. The breakfast buffet was top notch with bottomless mimosas! From fresh fruits to the delicious Naka toast, every item was 5 stars. Cabanas and lounge chairs were first come first serve which was super convenient. The poolside food was from the Rum Chapel and the quality was average for typical poolside food. We had dinner at the Veranda and the food was good, but the service was again standout. We’ve stayed at the SR in Bali and we thought that was the top spot…Naka Island Luxury Resort is now our top vacation experience. Looking forward to the next time we can make it out to Phuket! (I had reservations initially when reserving this resort due to the lack of reviews, but understandably this resort is on an island away from the hustle and bustle of other Phuket resorts. If you are looking for a relaxing vacay of just lounging around with amazing scenery with fantastic service, this is the SPOT!)

From the moment we arrived at Naka Island Resort, it felt as though we had stepped into a different world, one defined by effortless luxury, untouched beauty, and a sense of calm that is increasingly rare to find. The setting is nothing short of breathtaking. Surrounded by lush jungle and the endless expanse of the sea, the resort feels like something out of a fairytale where nature and design exist in perfect harmony. Staying in a seaview villa was an experience in itself; waking up to those views each day felt surreal, as though time had slowed down just for us. There is an ease to everything here; nothing feels forced, nothing feels rushed. It is luxury in its purest, most natural form. Having travelled extensively, we can say without hesitation that this is one of the very few places that has left us with such a strong desire to return. In fact, we have already decided that Naka Island will become an annual tradition for us, a place we will come back to, time and time again. That said, it is important to embrace the setting for what it is. You are, quite literally, immersed in nature. Gecko lizards quickly become your constant companions, appearing here and there throughout your stay. The resort team is always responsive and will assist whenever possible, but being in the heart of a tropical environment, this is simply part of the experience. And if you happen to be “lucky” enough, as we were, you may even encounter a monitor lizard (we had the “pleasure”… twice, and not even the same one!). For those less accustomed to nature, this might take a moment to adjust to, as it did for us. However, it never once detracted from the magic of the experience. if anything, it reinforced just how unique and unspoiled this place truly is. What ultimately elevates Naka Island Resort from beautiful to unforgettable, however, is its people. Fin, at the breakfast restaurant, set the tone for each day with effortless attentiveness and genuine charm. Every morning felt curated, every detail considered, he has a natural gift for hospitality. At the Rum Chapel, Noom delivered a level of care that was both intuitive and deeply thoughtful. Not only was he consistently warm and welcoming, but he went above and beyond by arranging bespoke gluten-free options for my wife; dishes not even listed on the menu. Kendo was simply exceptional. Kind, polished, and endlessly helpful, his presence brought a sense of ease and warmth that elevated every interaction. And then there is Meanie… a name we will never forget. To call her “perfect” still feels like an understatement. She redefined what personalised service means. Always present, always attentive, whether on duty or not, she anticipated our needs before we could even express them. No request was too small, no detail overlooked. If you are fortunate enough to have Meanie as your butler, your stay will be nothing short of extraordinary. Finally, Cookie, at the authentic Thai restaurant, brought such radiant warmth and energy that she transformed our evening into something truly memorable, even when we weren’t feeling our best. Naka Island is more than a destination. It is an experience, shaped by nature and brought to life by remarkable people. We leave with unforgettable memories, deep gratitude, and absolute certainty that this is only the beginning of many returns.
