Hotel Riu Santa Fe - All Inclusive

Trip was during spring break which we weren’t aware when we book which made it very busy. Food was good. Hotel was nice! Sometimes are our room had an organic smell to it. Service and workers were nice! Would stay here again just not during spring break.

The check-in process provided too much information too quickly, and then not pertinent info. like having to insert your Key card to turn on lights, TV, etc...The lobby furniture was dirty, and in need of repair. The food was pretty good! The BEST was ARIANA leading the water aerobics! She was inviting and fun and had lots of charisma! Too bad there was a strong undertow at the beach.

I have just returned from a stay at Riu Sante Fe and while my kids really enjoyed the location and amenities, I do not intend to ever return or do business with this company again. I booked 2 rooms via booking.com. Prior to arrival Riu said booking was incorrect and I would be charged $500 usd at check-in for my children. When I check in, they charge that $500. Then later, the manager Victor calls me and tells me I need to pay an additional $500 otherwise he will cancel my reservation. The location, many of the service staff, were all good and my kids really enjoyed the beach and pools. The food got repetitive and as a vegetarian, this is not a veg friendly place. There are countless mislabeled food items and the staff really seems to not understand or not care about their labeling. All in all, enjoyed my Cabo trip again but will not do business with this company. For as much as I paid, I would have expected significantly better treatment by this staff given they made the mistake not me.

Someone from the hotel opened our safe and stole $1500 out of my husbands wallet

Became seriously ill at this resort, as did my daughter. We stayed there from February 21 to Feb 28 2026 and will not be returning! Be interesting to know if anyone else got sick at this time...

Great hotel in a good location. lots of entertainment and restaurant choices. Great party vibe, not for those looking for a quiet vacation.

I usually check TripAdvisor before booking, and while this resort had mostly positive reviews, there were a few critical ones. After our stay, I’m happy to add to the positive side. Overall, the resort was very nice, clean, and enjoyable. We stayed in an oceanfront room, which had a great view. The resort is large, but since we spent most of our time at the pools and beach, the location worked well for us. The resort hosts some lively party events (music, foam machines, dancers). Younger guests will probably love it. We checked it out and it was fun, but if you prefer quiet evenings, consider requesting a room farther from the event area. The staff worked hard to keep everything clean, though occasional messes seemed more related to guests than the resort. Food was good with plenty of options, even if not every meal was five-star. Definitely try a few of the different restaurants. If you want prime pool or beach chairs, people tend to reserve them early in the morning. We didn’t rush out and still enjoyed our time. Overall, a great stay—and we would go back.

We stayed for a week during spring break, and the resort was very crowded with many young people. It wasn’t surprising that the resort was busy, but it was extremely loud all the time, even in the middle of the night. We had to request a room change, but even after moving, it was still quite noisy. The bar was always full of people, which made it hard to relax and enjoy a drink. The food was average — there were many choices, but the taste wasn’t particularly impressive. The location is great. In the end, we spent a lot of time at the marina, enjoying the local restaurants and shops.

Overall a nice vacation. Way too many teens partying all night though. We got moved to another room in a different building after a few days of being kept up all night and the second room was much quieter. The staff was good at accommodating us. I booked this on short notice after my original plans were canceled. If I had more time, I would have booked at the adults only Riu (that one had no availability on short notice). The food at the buffets was decent. The food at the steak house was awful. I was disappointed that the Ocean was too rough to swim in.
