Hotel Riu Santa Fe - All Inclusive

Very poor food quality, blend food with overcooked rubbery meats. Restaurants are impossible to get. Alcoholic beverages had no alcohol. Entertainment was lame. Nothing was even average. Save some time and money and go somewhere else.

The location is great and the staff were consistently friendly throughout our stay. However, the food at all of the restaurants ranged from average to below average, which was disappointing. Another issue was the room setup — what they call “double beds” are actually two mattresses pushed together. This was uncomfortable, especially for three people sharing the room.

Went there with my Parents over Christmas 2025. Food was good, love the fruit. Staff was friendly and rooms were kept clean. The Rui Parties are a blast, and the live bands and shows are always a pleasure to see. I enjoyed the Latin and Dance Classes put on by Ariana at the Rui Fit, she was very friendly and fun. Brenda was always nice and quickly found us a table every time at the main buffet. If you like snorkeling check out Chileno Beach (Playa Chileno). It takes about 20 minutes by the city bus which costs 35 pesos each way. Clear water and lots of fish. Fun time, enjoyed it.

Nasty vile front desk staff and manager Christina. So poorly treated I was in shock. The nasty staff and manger threatened to call the police after THEY forget to charge my card at check. Calling my room after 9pm DEMANDING I come to threatened lobby after explaining to them my 2 year old was sleeping and told them it could wait till morning. They threatened to call the police, extremely rude. When I asked the manager why it could not eait till.morning and did they really thi nk I would run away in the middle of the night with a toddler, her response was " we dont know what you would do". Worst resort ever. Dirty,stained sheets and pillow. No stairs, whu h is not disclosed when you book. I was fine with that but the staff here are vile, rude and cruel. Reviews say they dont even like Mexicans staying there so I am pretty sure why we were treated poorly. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. Before all of this 2 members of their staff tried to enter my room even as I was yelling who is that. And I had to physically block the door because they still tried to enter claiming they were replenishing drinks. Later found out many guests have been robbed at this resort. I stayed at another RIU in Mexico prior to this and was satisfied. This resort should be shut down. Over 30 countries visited and this is the worst experience ever.

Pools are great. Beach is very nice. Lots of fun activities. Food varieties are satisfying but qualities need improvement.. Meats are usually overcooked and very dry. Decoration for Christmas Eve buffet dinner service was very beautiful! In overall, our family had a great week staying here.

At check-in, we were told that restaurant information would be available on the app. We relied on this to check opening hours and restaurant options. We were staying in villa 7 and had breakfast at Torote. We went there between 8:30 and 11:00, but the buffet items, such as cold cuts and butter, were not replenished. On three occasions, we were refused entry to the American Country restaurant; on one occasion, the host, Diego, told us we didn't have a reservation (reservations are not required). On another occasion, at 8:30 pm, he told us the restaurant had reached its capacity for the day (even though the sign said it was open until 10 pm – this restaurant wasn't even listed on the hotel app). The Italian and Asian restaurants, which the app said were à la carte, were actually buffets. There were few options, the food was tasteless and cold. We tried the Kulinarium gourmet restaurant twice at different times, but it was always full. The hostess told us to come back on the 25th at 5:30 pm (it would be closed on the 24th). We went, and again (3 time) there were no tables available. On the same day, we tried American Country, but there was only availability at 9 pm, and La Baja California (few options, several empty buffets, long lines, and the little food that was available was inedible). When we returned to our room, we saw that Torote was open. They asked us if we had a reservation because otherwise the kitchen would have already closed since it was à la carte that night. Only after speaking with the manager were we finally able to have dinner! We went hungry during the 6 days we stayed there. And the drinks at the pool bar were so watered down that even asking for double the alcohol didn't help.

Check in took over an hour it almost felt like the front desk didn't want to greet you. The food was surprisingly good. This Riu has one of the best all inclusive buffets I have ever had. The room and property was very clean. I wasn't aware that only some of the buildings have an elevator thank God I was on the second floor. I would definitely be back.

Excellent and helpful staff, great parties, diverse people. Location is close to downtown area with fun clubs.

We had a great time overall, especially as adults. The RIU Party was top class — definitely the highlight of our stay! The food was tasty and plentiful, though unfortunately, it was the same menu every night, which got repetitive. None of the restaurants offered à la carte options, which was disappointing for a resort of this level. While it's fun for adults, there wasn’t much for kids or teens to do. The entertainment shows were quite poor, and the sound system didn’t help — it really affected the experience. Despite the drawbacks, it still felt like good value for money. Great for a lively adult getaway, but maybe not the best option for families with children.
