AKA Rittenhouse Square

If I could give six stars for location, I would—then add another constellation for the people. This corner of 18th & Walnut puts you exactly where you want to be: Rittenhouse Square’s leafy heartbeat is literally your front yard, the city’s best coffee is a 90-second stroll, and every restaurant worth a reservation is within a five-minute radius. But the real GPS coordinate you need to bookmark is the front desk, because that’s where you’ll find Mr. Wistor. He is the living embodiment of “travelers don’t remember the thread-count, they remember the thread of kindness.” From the moment I stepped through the door, his smile hit me like the first sip of hot soup on a cold day. Genuine, warm, disarming. Mr. Wistor were there to greet me each morning. a.k.a. has the address, but he gives it a soul. every single time I walked past the front desk—whether I was headed out at 6am or dragging back at midnight after a long workday —Mr. Whister looked up, flashed that sun-rise of a smile, and somehow made me feel like the day had been waiting just for me. Tentative, caring, he’d ask if I needed water, an umbrella, or just a “you got this” nod. Tiny moments, but they brightened every block of my day.

The room is simple and clean, and its location makes it convenient to go anywhere. I really like Mr. wister's considerate service.

We spent a really good time in the hotel, the front desk Wister was very kind and helpful to us. A very memorable experience!

This was our second time staying at the aka Rittenhouse. It was fabulous just like the first. The staff is superb and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and bars. The suite was incredible and a great value for the amount of space, the location is central and the Square itself makes you feel like you are part of the Philly family.

Great place to stay we come to Philadelphia fairly often to visit our daughter a.k.a. has all the conveniences of an apartment in case we don’t wanna go out to eat. The staff is super nice and accommodating. We often stay in the one bedroom with a kitchen and the library room. That’s on the second floor is just lovely that overseas the park I’m sure we’ll be back continuously to visit our daughter and stay at this wonderful location. Also, important to note. The rooms are very clean and neat. The kitchen is nicely stocked with utensils and plates and a dishwasher.

Absolutely loved our stay at this property! The room was gorgeous. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Bar and restaurant downstairs have tasty options. The location is great with the Saturday market right across the street and walkable to everything downtown. Would definitely stay here again!

Incredibly friendly front desk, spacious rooms with lots of little touches that make it feel homie, and comfy beds. Not to mention a bathroom that you can actually put your toiletries out in! Also the restaurant is some of the best food I’ve had in Philly.

This hotel is in the best location and is perfect for settling down to enjoy the town. So incredibly roomy and the bedroom windows were double paned so even though we were right on Walnut- easy sleeping. Many restaurants and high end shopping right outside along with the beautiful Square. Great staff.

Front desk staff (Tina) was friendly, pleasant and professional. Also Bartender at AKA bar Emily was excellent!

Our "home" in Philly. Outstanding service and location, great choice of rooms, excellent restaurant, a very good gym, free washing machines. Located near lots f great shopping and stores and easy to get anywhere in Philly from it. We are treated like VIPs whenever we stay there, which is 4-8 weeks/year. The perfect choice for longer stays (weekends to weeks to months) in Philly.
